@@aniruddh732 I try to get 3 RCs correct, with 2 VA questions in between each RC

Attempted this sectional today. Scored 33, 96.07%ile (on the day of the attempt). First 3 RCs were very easily manageable. Got 10/12 correct in these 3 RCs. It was foolish of me to not attempt the 4th RC during the test. When I attempted it after the test, I could easily comprehend the passage and get 3/4 correct.
However, VA was a nightmare. Attempted 7, got only 2 correct (both para summaries). Fortunately, 4 of the 5 incorrect choices in VA were TITA, resulting in no negative marking. I'm keen to know what the attempt strategy was of those who scored 40+ marks. Also, did anyone solve all 4 RCs plus a few (if not all) VAs?

Strategy is finish every RC in 8 min each. So 8*4= 32 minutes. Last 8 min is for VA section. Try to decrease the 8 min to even less to increase the amount of time for VA section. Some of our students will complete all the RCs in less than half in hour so they will have enough time for VA section. Make sure our accuracy is good, because if your accuracy fell, increase is attempt rate will be a waste.

What would have been a good score in this mock, equivalent to 99%ile?

The percentile depends on the number of students attempted the exam and how well they did in that particular exam. But as a rule of thumb, you can get 40 marks, which is nearly 13-14 questions correct, to get a 99+ percentile.

Ma'am how to deal with unknown words in RCs?? as not to stuck in between reading

Just skim don’t waste time. Just read the sentence before and after the word . Then u will able to grasp the idea of that word.

You can guess the meaning of the unknown word by checking the sentence it is part of and the tone which the RC is going in. Usually you can guess the meaning by using that sentence and the neighbouring sentences.

Sometimes if the RC is tough then the questions are easy and sometimes if the RC is easy questions are tough. Checking the right set to do is also important.
