I always admire the commitment and faith of the Sumi people. For a relatively small population not necessarily wealthy they built this beautiful church in Zunheboto the largest Baptist church in Asia. Just to organise a special event such as Father's Day is a massive task that requires hard work and organisational skills. The Sumis are a disciplined and respectful people (especially in church) and this helped the ushers in directing the large crowd to their seats. The start of the service was unique with a display of gospel and traditional songs by young people that enthralled the audience who joined in. All the men in the choir were dressed in the traditional gear and also the children in the choir making it a special Father's Day. I was surprised to see every father being handed a gift which I understand is a tradition but despite the large audience this task went off very smoothly. Thanks Aron Asumi for having this video ready one day after the event so that your many foreign viewers could enjoy your special day. The Sumis are Truly a people of faith as in 1 Peter 2 vs 9 where Christians are described as a chosen generation, a royal Priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people.
