Each character in the trailer is based on real people who protected guests and some died in the process. The Taj hotel manager lost his wife and two sons. Many young chefs too were killed. It's like our own 9/11. Show some grace and respect.

The terrorist asmed them to recite some verses , and dont know how , but they remembered 2-3 lines they heard when they visited a dargah(mosque), and Voila !! They were left free, because apparently they are the purest human beings ever
I stayed here two nights before it happened .........I’ve never gotten over how fragile fate is . The film looks like a fitting tribute to the brave staff who worked in this beautiful hotel

This trailer gave me chills. I still remember the day this happened. The news of the terrorist attack at Taj hit like a shockwave. I'm not a Mumbai resident but the terrorist attack was everything beyond our imagination. It was downright scary, shocking and sad. Rest in Peace to the souls of the people who've lost their lives in this terrible incident.
ignore the bad reviews , this is really a superbly crafted effort in film making .. captured the essence of suspense and fear under those circumstances !
This is so well made especially with the death scenes. It gives you the thought that terrorism is indiscriminate and lives can be easily and casually lost in any time or place. The way they made the characters as human and as alive as possible with developments, even the terrorists themselves are portrayed as just normal people just like us though led astray by an extremist ideology, then killing them like some sort of a butchered animal really captures the true horror of terrorism and shootings. They really didn't shy away from having two or more of the significant characters die casually just like how any shootings can be. I don't know about this casting issues nor any of the actors and actress but over all, the movie did a good job on portraying how real word violence can be.

Dev Patel is a true spirit actor, he is acting from heart. when i watch his movies i feel like i watch live action not a movie. there isnt many actors or actresses gives you that feeling...

I remember my dad showing me the videos of the news and I think a documentary about this after it happened because I was really little when it happened. Last year when I went to India for the first time to meet my dads side of the family he took me to the streets and the hotel where it happened and told me the whole story again. Such a tragic thing RIP to all of the innocent victims and their families.
I mean Hollywood is only just getting to grips with African American and Asian representation with Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians etc soooo yeah poor Dev only gets roles where they need Indians. Great actor though!

I watched this film in the theater. It is one of the most profound depictions of realism I have ever seen. It wasn't entertaining as much as informative and eye-opening to the tragedy that comes from evil. I am surprised that it didn't gain greater fame.
I like Dev Patel but they should start giving him actual roles instead of calling him when they need an Indian. For movies set in India, they need actual Indians born in India for them, like maybe Rajkumar Rao or Ayushman Khuranna
The majority of Bollywood and South Indian actors won't be in western films, because it pays better to be in Indian films and I don't really blame them, but I would like to see more branch out
Problem is westerners don't identify with Rajkumar Rao or Ayushman while this is an international film and big stars with whom westerners do identify are either too damn costly for their own good or too egoistic. I mean c'mon with shitty movies made in India, the khans and Kapoors and Bhatt are like richest stars in the whole world. SRK literally is 2nd richest star. Just imagine Meryl Streep who has the highest number of oscars or our favourite Leonardo Dicaprio or for that matter non oscars winners like Johnny Depp be like that or be like Sallu bhai and act like crap. Their actors are ready to go the mile and sacrifice stuff, they actually consider acting as an art as against imagine Salman Bhai's movie. While Amir is a hard worker he needs freaking profit percentage from the movies. Noone does such shitty stuff in hollywood, so while we can cry about culture and stuff our people are idiots ... We do have great actors but they will always remain under appreciated ....

Films are a machine that create empathy and that is a universal trait, not bound by race, gender or nationality. Your comment about actors I'd say go both ways, you have actors in Hollywood who really don't get into the art of it, like Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Eric Roberts ect. And depending on the contract some actors do get a percentage of box office earnings, Sandra Bullock did for Gravity, Robert Downey Jr does for the marvel films he is in, Tom Cruise does for the mission impossible films there are many more, just look them up.
He started his career with Skins. By saying that he only get's cast as an Indian dude in India your yourself aren't giving him enough credit either. He has a great actor, I love him and I'm sure he stands by the movies/series he's playing in :)

My gosh! Just watched this. The horrors the survivors faced and will continue to do so, I won't ever be able to comprehend! Brave people, heroes. So sad knowing the fact that many lost their lives because of the ridiculousness of religion. Such an emotionally intense movie.

Dev Patel, in my opinion, has been typecast. Like he's the only guy that could play an Indian in any movie that is set or has references to India. If he were younger he could be the kid in Jungle Book.

My uncle was strolling infront of taj(the hotel) on 26/11, whe a guy wounded covered in blood , came out of hotel . I was 8 back then. All thanks to our neighbours (Pakistan), who train these terrorist . And after seeing about the attacks in news , there were sweets dustributed in Pakistan (Such a humanitarian country). Thats atleast my generation or the youth who lives in mumbai(who witnessed the terror) hates them .

Dev Patel, in my opinion, has been typecast. Like he's the only guy that could play an Indian in any movie that is set or has references to India. If he were younger he could be the kid in Jungle Book.

My uncle was strolling infront of taj(the hotel) on 26/11, whe a guy wounded covered in blood , came out of hotel . I was 8 back then. All thanks to our neighbours (Pakistan), who train these terrorist . And after seeing about the attacks in news , there were sweets dustributed in Pakistan (Such a humanitarian country). Thats atleast my generation or the youth who lives in mumbai(who witnessed the terror) hates them .
