Life lesson number one, expect poor material from Chinese manufacturers such as the motor and the battery. The first time I saw this I thought I should probably order better parts, while my shipment is coming.
Question; what sort of battery are you using is it a lithium ion, lead acid batteries, Lithium Polymer (LiPo)? And do you have any dealers in USA in New Jersey?

First charge on 12 hours is fine, the power is cut off automatically when battery is full charged. But don't leave the battery charger connected too long. It is not safe. When battery full charged, light turns green on the charger. About charging time, it depends on your charger output current.

The battery on the above harley city coco is lithium battery. It has more than 1000 times recharging circle. Battery life is three years. There is another lead acid battery, cost is much cheaper, battery life on 350 times recharging, one year. :-)
no totally untrue.if maintained as direct it should be good for up to 500-1000 recharges,depending on how long that takes to do,and as for costs the price is about 8 dollars per battery in canada for 21700,18650 and so on.if it's a lead based battery they are about 560 dollars here for 4 of them in canada for each one costs 105-125 for good ones plus installing with the store.

a good battery costs about 8 dollars per canadian,the web is full of good ones best pick samsung,lg,teslia,or major seller who sells those brands with others. they don't sell bad with good often.a 60 watt 20amp would demand about 17 batteries add a battery management system is about 30-60 bucks canadian it's about 200 bucks for that,added costs for tack welder,wires and so on needed.at worse after buying everything say 650 dollars canadian. if you can handle it then go for it half the price of bought unit.but then again you can tell them what type of batteries and best let a pro build things that go bang if done wrong till you know how to do it right.

If you have never imported from China, you need to check the cost. Including delivery and import tax. Based on our experience, India maket is pretty hard to deal.

I bought today a citycoco scooter. I was wondering do you have to charge the battery for the first time for 12 hours? Or just normal like 4 a 5 hours?

Yes, double battery pack, prolong the range per charge. Max range is 160km per charge on the citycoco.
