Amazing find sir! It is such a beautiful piece of history and the details are superb! I found my first stater about 3 weeks ago, I wasn't even sure what it was (an intricate button was my first thought) until someone on the forum told me what it was. Well done and enjoy the glory!
When I found my first ever quarter stater, I though exactly the same thing until I rubbed away some more of the dirt lol 😆, easily done mate 👍.

That video Dan, wow the strap end with leather in situe, I’d be dancing with that save, but then that voided short cross hammered blew it out of the water eh.

Hi, thanks for your videos and your settings. I have to ask you something about the settings. why do you put the ground of the terrain to zero? what advantages does it have?
You are most welcome mate 👍. I set the ground balance to 0 because, the soil I hunt on is not mineralised, therfore does not require me to balance the machine. It is stated to set the machine to 0 if there is no mineralisation, so depending on your ground as the what you need to do 👍 hope that helps 😀
because I believed that the terrain always had a ground. It's the first time I've seen him use it. i want try this...💪💪 Thanks a lot

Its funny comparing id numbers on the same machine but In totally different circumstances.....you say things like "lovely 32 best signal all day" I say "old ring pull or a 10 cent coin" lol unless I'm specifically poking for gold hidden in the trash I look out for anything above 40...like 43 could be a threepence depending on the year and silver content...44 sixpence....49....copper coin hopefully a Britannia one or a commonwealth penny what we call "Roo Pennies" are George the sixth era....I am fortunate enough though to have found all if the monarch's in succession since the founding of Australia from George the 4th Queen Victoria (my best being an 1885 gothic florin) Edward the 7th George the 5th George the 6th and our last reigning Queen Elizabeth there is a monarch in-between all that though but he didn't reign for long I forget his name now? Happy hunting mate from sunny Queensland Australia 🙂👍⛏🍺
I find the numbers can be all over the place sometimes and I find myself identifying targets by the tone more than anything 👍. Is the other monarch you are thinking of william 4th?

@@DiggerDanMetalDetecting John Philpotts boss of Silbury coins Cirencester would be very keen on aquiring it, that's a fact Dan! The coin is in VF condition. The L facing wolf is the rarer of the two gold full stater variants so more valuable, it is of higher gold content, too. I would Not sell it in a hurry. A Norfolk Wolf Iceni Full Stater in the condition yourS is in is seldom found and less seldom exhibited. Be careful who follows you going to and fro from home Dan. Not all detectorists are good folk. That Norfolk Wolf of yours is bloody awesome. Again, huge congratulations. 'The wolf and you sniffed each other out'. If it were mine I'd 'Kennel' it way away from 'the rest' in a secure 'den', so to say. "Never keep your best Eggs in one basket"👌👍 I'd also grid that field and over-lap sweep it thoroughly once the crop is off and just before re-tilling (so my foot-prints would be rinsed clean by the rotovator/plough). Norfolk Wolves don't always hunt alone. You may find a few more 'pack members'. Just watch your 6 and keep schtum about location et cetera. Just my advice for what it is worth.
