Aliny Godinho (Mendes) was a lovely woman… I’m still in disbelief with Ricardo’s actions. This video is slightly shorter than usual today as next week is a special case that I wanted to invest extra time into! See you again real soon! - Adrian
@@ibispaintfox1055 last time I read news about this case, they said the four kids were is custody of the British government and only maternal parents could welcome them a home. I read that one of Aliny’s brothers were going to the UK to explain to the kids what happened to their parents and to bring them back to Brazil to live here but it’s a complicated situation since two of the kids are brits and two are Brazilians but since Aliny’s family is here, they wanted to bring the kids here. (I’m Brazilian fyi)
Thank you so much Adrian, Stellar work yet again in your telling of this harrowing case. My prayers go out to Aliny's family mourning her loss to this cruel murder. Very much looking forward to your next piece (especially since you teased us regarding extra time needed in it's creation.) Jah Bless .
So this was the "ideal" scenario with her leaving him, police actually taking her seriously and her getting a spot in a safe House and he still managed to kill her. If anyone ever wondered why victims are (too) scared to leave: this is your answer.
@@smurfylee true, but since he was able to track her i don't think it would have helped much. And switching up ways/routines with public transport can be challenging
There is in the US in some places, at least. It ups the punishment you get for a domestic violence charge. You can even get your children removed if they witness a lot of domestic violence even if they are otherwise unharmed (because witnessing that is a form of abuse). This is of course dependent on local laws but I think it's fairly widespread (the removal of children in that kind of abusive situation).
@@moontoad6412 Same as in Australia, Victoria to be exact. Every single time you call up emergency services for any domestic violence they ask if any children are involved or witness to any violence that has been commited. If the legal guardian does not take them out of these situations they can lose their children to the Department of Human Services (similar to CPS in the states). I'm not a psychologist but I've seen behavioural changes in children that witness violence or even arguments on a daily basis. Children need to be protected cause we see too many of these same children growing up thinking it's normal and ok to emotionally and psychology abuse their partner just because 'their parents were like that'.
@@moontoad6412 I also think there are criminals who should not be given any opportunity for parole - just life in prison for the rest of their natural lives. This case would be one of those, in my opinion.
@@truerosie What i dont understand is how he was able to get the phone unlocked. Prolly she shared passwords and pin codes that are required to access the phone even with a sim card or she removed them, rendering the device and the number unprotected. That's why you never share account passwords, pin codes and other sensitive information that could be used to access your devices and accounts even with people that are very close to you and you never remove protective measures from devices. Although i am not 100% sure that this happened, but most smart phones nowadays have protections that even if you have the device you need to authenticate before being able to access the device
I had an ex stalk me and threaten me years ago. Flattened all my tires twice. Cops would do nothing! I bought a gun and trained at the range. When he showed up at my house, trying to see in the window, I pointed the gun at him through the window. Never heard from him again. He got another girlfriend who went through hell too. Get away the instant you see they're troubled.
_"I pointed the gun at him through the window. Never heard from him again."_ As proponent of gun rights who happens to be living in one of the most disarmed countries of Europe, I love this story, you're my spirit animal lol. Hope life gave you better people afterwards. ~Best of Wishes from Poland
@@tracyd693 That would make imprisoning people almost impossible. They would have to live in a concrete tube with absolutely no way they would ever be able to shoot someone. So prison would be worse than hell. Also there would be no mental health treatment any more because nobody would take the risk to work there. Also the amount of parents getting shot by a toddler would skyrocket. But I still think you are a smart person that should carry a gun.
That made me tear up when he mentioned it, I somehow wish I was there to stop him before he did his awful act, stories like this makes me wish I had a teleportation and time control super powers.
They never let you just leave. I didn’t even actually have a relationship the guy who stalked me for two and a half years. Crazy enough we were just dating for a while. During that time he demonstrated abusive behaviors and when I said I didn’t want to go any further he would take no for an answer. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have had his kids or something. Anyways my thoughts are with all those affected by something like this.
I'm not really sure what your getting at. Are you saying that women in abusive relationships should just stay because they may still be stalked and killed after "just leaving"? She seemed to do everything right.....it just ended unfortunately.
One of the things I love about you is you don't repeat yourself over and over just to make your videos longer. Thank you for doing such an amazing job in all the cases you cover.
💜 AMEN! I STOPPED WATCHING ONE GUY BECAUSE HE WAS SO REDUNDANT. IT WAS JUST SO SICKENING. AFTER HE REPEATED THE SAME SENTENCE 3-4 TIMES. I WAS DONE! I LOVE ADRIAN 😊💜
I get so fucking tired of hearing about women dying because some men cant take no for an answer... makes my blood boil. Those poor kids, and i hope the little girl can live her life as well as she can knowing what she saw... i pray that shes too young to remember it.. RIP Aliny
The "if I can't have you no one can" mindset is tied to alot of dangerous mental illnesses, but since we live in a misogynistic society they dont see it as a symptom, they see it as masculinity since they think women are entitled to men. People really need to separate mental illness and masculinity. Like if a woman did this she's seen as crazy, if a man did this its seen as masculine man and that it's the woman's fault that she didn't submit to her husband, and that's"men's nature"
@Brîndusa D I have a family member with the same old story. Kept having kids with an idiot who SA her. Five kids to be exact. And has multiple ways out but stays with the swine.
@@ll1vingdollyyy Nah if a man did this he’d still be seen as crazy and most men would condemn this. I don’t know why you’re saying we live in a “misogynistic” society and painting mental illness as masculinity because it isn’t. There’s no need to paint masculinity as misogynistic. It’s far from it.
What's especially screwed up is that this man killed her in broad daylight, in public, with witnesses, and IN FRONT OF HIS OWN DAUGHTER! It takes a special kind of anger and rage to do something this horrifying.
@@josmclove4426 To say this guy is “evil” is far too simplistic; it’s certainly not addressing the fact that he, like most people who commit these types of crimes, obviously have some kind of mental illness because ‘normal’, (whatever ‘normal’ means?!) well balanced people just don’t kill their partners. There are “evil” (bad) people who have evil (bad) thoughts and even actions, but ‘normal’, well balanced people know how to control those thoughts and don’t act on those urges. Mentally ill people, on the other hand, who are not medicated with appropriate psychotropic medications and who aren’t closely monitored are unable to control themselves and the result is what we’ve seen in this video. There is well documented evidence that genetics play a big part in criminal behavior. After his arrest, this guy must’ve been evaluated by a psychiatrist and although it wouldn’t satisfy our dramatic, sexy lust for ‘revenge’ I’m pretty sure the results of that evaluation would show that he suffers with mental illness/illnesses/personality disorders and at the time was probably not medicated with the appropriate psychotropic medications that he very obviously needed. The whole “evil” concept is an easy way for us to label things we don’t understand and it satisfies our curiosity about the whys and wherefores of why people kill/torture/punish/hurt other beings, including animals, but it’s really far too simplistic and it also has a weird religious connotation to it (good versus evil, darkness versus the light, etc) which really has nothing to do with it, certainly nothing to do with this particular case. Really, the best, most accurate way of describing him would be to say that he’s a fucking lunatic because while sounding flippant it’s actually true! The medical community might have a problem with that ‘diagnosis’, probably because it doesn’t sound professional, but whatever way you slice it and dress it up, this guy IS a fucking lunatic. Literally.
@@JuanMartinez-fs6gu I agree with you, he was a psychopath, but psychopaths are recognized as mentally ill, so you’ve just made my point for me while trying to refute it.
Did anyone else notice that he nearly caused an accident when he pulled out into the road behind the bus? I find that so eery, because I would imagine that he was so focused on what he was about to do that the world around him disappeared and for a moment he forgot that he was on a public road! Calculated and evil!
Anytime you're dating someone, and see a red flag, don't chalk it up to you having trust issues, or being paranoid, nip it in the bud and move on, don't hang around thinking it's an isolated incident, nobody should have a second try or chance, it's better being alone...
Jesus that's awful pessimistic. People make mistakes you would end any relationship over a single red flag ? Well good luck with being single for the rest of your life lol...
@@malgorzatawojtys9846 it does not work for men either, both men and women can be monsters to people who don't want anything to do with them, it's the mindset of no one can have you but me which is the problem, but I'll admit it does sadly mostly apply women bc men for some reason(society and upbringing are not excuses for actions) they are too emotional and narcissistic to take no for an answer I apoligize for the long comment
This poor woman, what a sad story. Now her children are without both parents. Thanks for another very well done video Adrian. Your true crime videos are by far the best on TH-cam. What makes you stand out is how we don’t just sit and watch you talk about the story, like most true crime videos, instead you take us on a journey and we get to see beautiful pictures of where it took place, pictures of the people involved, videos when needed, surveillance footage and even light appropriate background music. Love it! Keep them coming please 😁
The first part about her kids growing up parentless is exactly why I don't get why a parent would resort to killing the other. First off you both lose your kids and your never gonna see em again and even if ya do they are gonna despise who ever killed who and be tormented mentally for the rest of their lives just knowing or seeing Inthis case. If anyone in a relationship no matter how hard it gets kills the other they cannot for one second be caring about their kids!
Poor woman??? She should've taken her kids away from that dude years ago. At least for the children's sake if not her own. I have zero sympathy for her. She also took advantage of their friends' kind gesture of staying there. And they were in the country illegally to top it off. Trash ass people... the BOTH of them!!!
Can you start doing videos on "near misses" where someone ALMOST became victim to a savage but managed to survive or escape and subsequently they were captured? I'd love some light on the dark that I see on a daily basis.
Read the comment section if you want reddit style stories of "almost" becoming a victim. You can find them pretty easily, they usually start with "I.."
There is the series called "I survived" and they are usually 3 different stories, even of accidents or getting lost in very bad conditions, and they are fascinating :)
This very case is a stark reminder that you never EVER underestimate an abusive partner and the evil they may inflict. After I left my spoise I luckily realized my ex was accessing my text messages and voicemails. Change EVERYTHING when you leave and I do mean everything
Good advice, I suppose. Nowadays I have very good relations with all the people I'm gonna talk about, so in the end it all worked out pretty well. Having that said, when I was a teen and I got dumped by my 1st real gf, I still had her FB password, and I went there every couple months to just lurk and reminisce _(sad brokenhearted emo teen vibes, but let those who don't cringe at their teenage years be the first ones to cast the stone)_ and did nothing else. We didn't really talk IRL despite leaving on friendly terms, for me it was too painful and she probably saw it and didn't force herself around my vicinity, for which I am in hindsight very grateful. Time went on, took me like half a year to finally get over it, I got a new girlfriend - but after another half a year I realized this wasn't gonna work out. So I told her we need to part ways. Some time after that, I got a bit nostalgic one evening and just randomly decided to see what's up with my 1st ex. Bad luck had it that somehow she and my 2nd ex connected, and in that moment, in real time, as I saw messages coming back and forth, they were talking sh!t about me in chat XD So, offended at this affront _(because I thought "we were friends" with 1st ex and I've done nothing to infringe on her space, didn't bother her to beg for another chance, didn't try to put obstacles in her life, none of that BS etc. - we just basically ghosted each other while technically remaining on "friendly" and only exchanging a "hi" if neccessary),_ I proceeded to join the conversation from her account and tell them that I was watching and that it's nice to find out all these things about me now. Can't really remember what exactly I said, it was 10+ years ago, but knowing myself, I probably whinebragged about _"at least dumping [2nd ex, name redacted] in person WITH _*_STYLE, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE_*_ IN THIS CONVERSATION WHO COULD ONLY SEND A TEXT"_ XDD then tossed some further shade and went _"peace out, better change your password [1st ex name]"_ lmao On one hand, it was probably pretty invasive... On the other _(and to the main point of why your comment made me remember this story)_ after years of watching True Crime by now, I'm so glad she learned the _"change your passwords"_ lesson from a cuddly bubbly pompous b!tch _"better than thou, too proud to be mad"_ edgelord-with-a-purpose like my teenage self, because she could've have found out in circumstances SOOO MUCH worse... Eventually, it was her new boyfriend a year later who led to our friendship reunion, but that's a story for another time :P They're no longer together either, but just last month we all three met after years and went out for karaoke. Awesome time, I love them all like family
@decimusvitae Maybe your attitude and mentality is why you doubt in people's forgiveness? :^) If you reduce my story to some accusatory _"grills dunt furgive STOLKARZ, NOW can I speak to you about my lord and damnator INTERPERSONAL PARANOIA?!"_ then no wonder that people in your life have been seeking excuses to prosecute you _(and/or exile you)_ instead of forgiving you - - thus, leaving you prone to such assumptions, IMHO. By any means, feel free to enlighten me if I'm wrong ^_^ Forgive others instead of holding grudges. See more than just mere materialist manifestations of the grand laws of existence. Transcend your mortal coil, master the fear it bestows upon your soul and use it as an engine against entropic decay - the flesh prison is but our duty and burden, but still you should carry yours with dignity - for even in this hell we call reality there is hope and there are dreams - for even in depths of abyssal hellfire and the frigid vastness of the cosmic void, love can still prevail - - despite all odds... and doubts

I've read and heard about many domestic abuse cases, but this one has me crying at work. As someone who witnessed domestic violence as a kid, this triggered me. I remember what it felt like wishing my mom had support the way Aliny did. I also remember imagining if my step dad was going to attack my mom in public. Or if the next time would be the last time. Rest in Peace, Aliny.

@Erin Stelly Thank you for the beautiful words, Erin ☺️ bless you for your kind heart. I agree with what you said, we all should embrace more our differences because that’s what’s make us unique and interesting.
I’ll never understand how anyone could possibly believe it’s possible to keep a partner in relationship by dominating, blackmailing and abusing them. Sick bastard
That’s because abusers don’t see their partners as individuals with their own emotions. They are simply their narcissistic supply and abuser’s think they own their partners. They will go to any length to retain their ownership. They don’t love their partners, they love their control over them.
This is a mindset that is widespread in third-world countries [as mine]. For example, being a toxic gf/wife is a joke, a meme, in Mexico. You see an abusive partner doing whatever is on their hands to keep the victim tied to an unhealthy relationship. It will not be a surprise that he was making her have kids since that will make her less interested in running away. In the end, the poor kids were just a tool to justify his abusive behavior.
My daughter just turned three; the evil in this man to kill the mother of his angel IN FRONT OF HER is tearing me up. What an absolute piece of garbage. I also want to echo what a lot of people are saying; the way you present these is incredible. You bring so much honour to the victims and bring their light and joy to life while degrading and reducing the criminals who hurt them. Too much our society glorifies evil and bad behaviour. We need more people like you, Adrian, and far far far fewer than this human refuse Ricardo. Take care, stay well and be good to yourself.

She was such an amazing person who endured and persevered so much in life. She didn’t deserve to go like that. Rest In Peace beautiful sweet angel. The kids know their mother’s love and I hope they never acknowledge that sorry excuse of a “father”.
these people only think about themselves and never truly about their kids. They'll kill their partner for their own reasons and take away the mom/dad of their kids. And with them (hopefully) in prison, their kids have lost both parents. These situations remind me of people loosing their shit due to being bullied at school/work etc and don't look to the future. This guy hated Aliny so much in that moment, that he fucked up his family with him not "getting over" his situation.
Aw, don't be so hard on him. Didn't you hear the part where he only did it because he was stressed? I wish someone who worked to have the death penalty banned in the UK would tell me one good reason why this POS deserves to live!
No doubt this scumbag of a father will spend many hours in prison writing letters, trying to cajole his children into having a relationship with him . Let's pray they're strong enough to resist his deviant intimidation but it will be difficult for them because he's a master manipulator with all the time in the world on his hands, along with the blood of their beautiful mother . ❤🕊 Fly High Aliny 🕊❤
Saddly this is just one several examples of this type of situation. Controlling, jealous, and honestly psychopathic people who just can't seem to actually see their partners as people, be it for whatever reason and at the end of it all, decide they can't live, if not with them/for them. It's honestly dismaying to think about such cases, and their notable increase during the pandemic/lockdown period. All my hope and love, to any person unfortunately stuck in such terrible moments and suffering.

I've lived in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for most of my adult life. Watching one of your videos from this perspective makes me appreciate even more your care and consciousness when describing each country/location of the cases. Thanks for the fantastic content.
I grew up with a stepdad who beat the crap out of my mom and almost killed her a couple times. She didn't have anyone to turn to or anywhere to go and unfortunately so many women and men are in the same position. Society has come a long way over the past few decades with abuse and domestic violence but we still have so much further to go. Laws need to be changed to hold the abuser truly accountable and programs need to be put in place to truly help people out of these dire situations. It's not just a shelter that they can take themselves and their kids to. They need tangible, real life help. 2 weeks in a homeless shelter is not gonna help anyone get on their feet. People say they care about this but when it comes down to it they don't. Look at all the money we spend on BS wars but mention we need to be helping a struggling person and heads explode. If you're in this situation, please know it's not your fault and you do not deserve to be treated like that. You deserve to be loved and treated with respect. You deserve to have a partner that won't hurt you. You deserve better. You. Deserve. Better.
I love the way you deliver your story . Its how you particularize the event that happened in your story makes it interesting and very clear and doesn't need another explaination. Great job.

Thanks again Adrian for portraying another case in such a sensitive and diligent manner. So many other crime story productions are over-dramatized, exaggerated or manipulated to incite a reaction in the audience or for soullessly gaining views. No clickbait, no fuss. Narcissists are amazing at mental gymnastics, rationalising their behaviour and blaming their victims. I can imagine he even believes that he wasn't abusive. Those people can be absolutely delusional.
Such a tragic story. To all women that happens to be in a abusive relationship, even if you’re not ready to leave just yet, please don’t make any more children with a abuser. A child won’t fix any relationship. Stay safe everyone.

Aliny truly seemed doomed- i figured she was stuck when she started having all those kids. she seemed absolutely unable to really get away...& who think being with kids will protect them ?!
@Brîndusa D I think sometimes, women in particular, think having another baby will help the marriage become closer, but it never seems to work out that way most of the time. Some do it because they know it will be harder for the other person to leave the relationship. Messed up all the way around. Using children as pawns.
This is so sad. I've done a lot of research on domestic abuse cases and it's so unfortunate as I've learned that these incidents can happen to honestly anyone... I'm glad she had a good support group but I'm also heartbroken that it wasn't enough. Rest in peace, Aliny.
Aliny had the smile of an angel. She deserved only the best in life and she’s suffered so much while she was alive, I just hope she’s resting in paradise. I hope her children are okay and remember their beautiful mother as a strong and brave warrior.
Always remember. When someone shows you who they really are. You better believe them!!! Doesn’t matter how much you love them or if you have kids with them just leave.
And short of leaving them, AT LEAST don't make any more babies with them. He had already been an abusive monster when they had the fourth, but likely even before the 2nd and 3rd kids.

I can't understand someone being sentenced to life in prison yet have a possibility for parole. Given the manner he took Aliny's life in front of witnesses including his own daughter, there should be NO possibility of parole.
Uhm, people in the US still get possible parole with life, unless that's changed like everything else in this country. I've seen a bunch of murder sentencing here that upset me, cold blood killers with no remorse in court to get a plea deal. One guy shot another in the back of the head, the victims mother in tears, the killer gets on the mic and is a total a-hole with absolutely NO remorse in front of the mother so the judge says no plea deal and he'll be locked up for life. The guy himself didn't apologize but he did have his lawyer get up and say he's sorry and begged for the plea deal, the judge stupidly gives him that plea deal.
@@lakishasmith7380 - we do have "whole-life orders" which are a life sentence. To my knowledge there are about 70 people currently serving them. The UK has historically had to adhere to the laws of the European Court of Human Rights though, and they won't let half of what happens in the USA slide.
Here in Australia child ra/pists have gotten a measly 6yrs, some murderers only get 12yrs, I have no idea why we can’t just lock some people away forever when they deserve it. The one thing I absolutely respect about the American justice system is that people actually do get put away for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter if you can “rehabilitate” some, they need to suffer punishment for the life they’ve taken.
I'm glad the court saw through his lame excuses. I wish Aliny would have seen it sooner, and been better prepared to protect herself. Such a senseless loss of a beautiful person.
I grew up right by where this happened and still live in the area. Thankfully for us things like this are exceptionally rare and cause us massive upset and outrage. They are far from normal or regular here.
Thank you, Adrian. I hopy Aliny's friends and family watch this video, so they can see how kind and compassionate you are towards Aliny, and how well you understand her truly loving nature.
I’m surprised he used that he was “stress” as an excuse for killing his wife. Also how can he be taking it on her as it was his fault. Like I hated school and I still have some sour feelings. But I’m not gonna go and kill the people who made me stressed.
That poor woman 😢. Abusers never make “fresh starts”, but one can’t blame their partner for hoping that they will. And it’s very difficult for a woman to leave when she has children. A very sad story.
To the mothers who are staying with an abusive partner, "for the children" what you're actually doing is teaching your kids that abuse in a relationship is acceptable. If you're in an abusive situation with children, leave! It's the best thing for children.
and for fathers in the same situation, it happens to men more than you would believe, as men typically bottle things up and remain silent through their suffering. speaking from personal experience.

"Ricardo couldn't count." This apparently is a more common problem than I had thought it might be. I listened to two people reacting to a song just last night and one of them mentioned that the song they were reacting to was released in 1970. He said, "Just think, that's 20 something years ago." and the other person agreed with him. So, I guess from 1970 to 2022 is 20 years! I actually like that way of counting because it makes me a few decades younger than I thought I was. 😁

To put into perspective how incredibly stupid most people are I’ll take you back to when Michael Bloomberg ran for president. There was a segment on CNN where two anchors or show hosts were commenting on a tweet made by some dope on how Bloomberg, at that point had spent 300 million dollars on a failed presidential bid. The tweet stated something about how rich people don’t care and waste money and could’ve used that 300 million to give every American 1 million dollars which is immediately incorrect considering there are a little over 313 million legal American Citizens... if you do the math and there were 300 million Americans that would be around $1300 give or take because I don’t feel like doing the math right now! To compound the stupidity the two hosts completely agreed and began to run the entire segment off of that egregious error... I would say around 65% of Americans surprise me when they are able to breath and tie their shoes at the same time!
Your respect and time spent showing who the victim was makes it hard to hear the end. Without that intro, it’s easy to swallow and not think about, as without the background, it’s easy to just see her as a name and a face. Because of you spending so much time showing the victims, it’s impossible to not see them as a human, a whole person. I love this about your videos. Your content is amazing, and your respect and dedication to the victims rather than the perpetrators is something that isn’t often seen in true crime. You are my top favorite channel for true crime for this reason. Keep up the good work!

Does anyone else think that there should be a charge for deliberately traumatizing small children by enacting abuse in front of them?

The "if I can't have you no one can" mindset is tied to alot of dangerous mental illnesses, but since we live in a misogynistic society they dont see it as a symptom, they see it as masculinity since they think women are entitled to men.
People really need to separate mental illness and masculinity.

He is a very evil pos
Bad luck had it that somehow she and my 2nd ex connected, and in that moment, in real time, as I saw messages coming back and forth, they were talking sh!t about me in chat XD
So, offended at this affront _(because I thought "we were friends" with 1st ex and I've done nothing to infringe on her space, didn't bother her to beg for another chance, didn't try to put obstacles in her life, none of that BS etc. - we just basically ghosted each other while technically remaining on "friendly" and only exchanging a "hi" if neccessary),_
I proceeded to join the conversation from her account and tell them that I was watching and that it's nice to find out all these things about me now.
Can't really remember what exactly I said, it was 10+ years ago, but knowing myself, I probably whinebragged about
_"at least dumping [2nd ex, name redacted] in person WITH _*_STYLE, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE_*_ IN THIS CONVERSATION WHO COULD ONLY SEND A TEXT"_ XDD
then tossed some further shade and went _"peace out, better change your password [1st ex name]"_ lmao
On one hand, it was probably pretty invasive...

I’ll never understand how anyone could possibly believe it’s possible to keep a partner in relationship by dominating, blackmailing and abusing them. Sick bastard
He knew his power lied in manipulation, its a form of mind control in these relationships and the reason why many of these women stay.
Unfortunately, it works, at least for some time until the victim can find a way out (if they do at all).

I've lived in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for most of my adult life. Watching one of your videos from this perspective makes me appreciate even more your care and consciousness when describing each country/location of the cases. Thanks for the fantastic content.
What a tragic case! Thanks for another great video Adrian.
How you talked about her at the end broke my heart to pieces
Thank you so much for telling her story!!
She was stunning. I hope her children are well taken care of and loved , together.
You. Deserve. Better.
i hope your mother's doing alright now
I love the way you deliver your story . Its how you particularize the event that happened in your story makes it interesting and very clear and doesn't need another explaination. Great job.
Just gotta give you another reminder that you're a really cool guy and I appreciate the emotion and effort you put into these cases. You're videos bring me a lot of different emotions and honestly help me through the day as weird as that may sound.
Rip. It's so horrible the deadly misfortune these souls get tripped in...God help us and condolence to families.

I had never heard of this before. Very touching and heartbreaking. It's amazing to me how even the tiniest child can understand what death is. Thank you for taking the time to film this story.
I would like to say ... you're so nice and genuinely good person for saying all of those words about the victims at the end... it touched my heart to know you not only reporting but you care. Thank you it is a pleasure to watching you even the circumstances are horrible.
Thanks again Adrian for portraying another case in such a sensitive and diligent manner. So many other crime story productions are over-dramatized, exaggerated or manipulated to incite a reaction in the audience or for soullessly gaining views. No clickbait, no fuss. Just the whole case from background, evidence and statements, all the way through to conviction, aftermath and legacy. Thanks for putting the spotlight on these wonderful people that need to be remembered.
"his rage was as evident as his stupidity" major burn delivered hella casually
As a person who survived domestic violence so far I know her horror, 12 years of non stop abuse and violence. I know it will never end as he is free I only hope I make it to old age, some people need to remain in jail... bless this beautiful woman and I hope her children grow up to be strong independent humans
I hope that the abuse will end for you. I hope that you have taken all steps necessary for your safety (restraining orders, police reports, some form of weaponry for protection, having a supportive circle of friends and family, etc). I pray that you will have the peace of mind that you are free from the fear of your abuser. Wishing you light and love.
Thank you, there really needs to be some anti-stalking laws with teeth in them. This catch and release the stalker does nothing.
It's amazing how life experience works.... I went from an edgy teen who loved serial killers and cases like these to finding them extremely pathetic people. Still very interested in learning how their psyche works but in a totally different way now. Thank you for injecting the much needed humanity in these cases, a lot of crime-tubers are way too sterile for that!
I don't find them pathetic at all. In fact, I find them curious!
@@desensitizedanalyser5624 they are pathetic curiosities
Something about this case was extra heartbreaking… I hope the children are coping with all of it and feel safe now.
I love how you handle all these cases. You truly have a gift for this. I just hope that going through these cases isn't having a negative effect on you mentally. I only say this because this video you seem like it might be taking a toll on you. (I notice little things like that) I hope I'm wrong and you're doing ok. Either way. I appreciate that thank you! Honestly I'm doing fine, I just had a lot to tackle in the week I was recording this video. @@CoffeehouseCrime Thank you for telling Alinys story. As we all know.. this story (and many others) is extremely disheartening. I'm proud to say that I am a Latinamerican woman and that the support we give eachother is absolute and beautiful. Sadly there's people like this. I truly hope that he does rot in prison and that Aliny's children can push thru this tragedy.
I love your content and how respectful you are. I have a case I would like for you to consider doing. It's a chilean case and the murderer is Hugo Bustamante.
Thanks for your content, keep up with the amazing work!
Poor lady. Poor kids that lost their mother. The murderer...don't feel sorry for him nor his sorry excuses...BOTH his wife and his new GF said he was abusive, and he has the nerve to say he's not guilty bc he didn't know what he was doing? Geez. Incredible. Another beautiful soul (Aliny) taken from this Earth before they were suppose to. R.I.P. Aliny Godinho. Such a shame.
A lot of people try to say they don't remember doing it or didn't know what they were doing. Excuses, excuses. Sigh!
Why can women just seal with their abusers anyway?

Aliny truly seemed doomed- i figured she was stuck when she started having all those kids. she seemed absolutely unable to really get away...& who think being with kids will protect them ?!
I don’t understand continuing to have children in a toxic relationship. It was likely his way to keep her stuck with him.
@Oligoden common tactic among abusers
@Deborah Day 100%! i am wondering what in her personality up-bringing..etc made her go along. sad story for all.
@Brîndusa D band aid babies
@Brîndusa D I think sometimes, women in particular, think having another baby will help the marriage become closer, but it never seems to work out that way most of the time. Some do it because they know it will be harder for the other person to leave the relationship. Messed up all the way around. Using children as pawns.
Geez these domestic violence stories are difficult to watch when you expect to know how it's going to end. RIP Aliny.
Thanks for your content Adrian.
Its a very sad topic, but it makes me happy when a guy as cool as you tells about the good of my country. Thanks dude.

This is so sad. I've done a lot of research on domestic abuse cases and it's so unfortunate as I've learned that these incidents can happen to honestly anyone... I'm glad she had a good support group but I'm also heartbroken that it wasn't enough. Rest in peace, Aliny.

I am originally from Brazil and I can sadly say that crimes like that are actually not uncommon.
Thank you for the unmatched respect you show to the victims! This to me was a horrible case! As you said may he rot the rest of his life in prison!
I can't understand someone being sentenced to life in prison yet have a possibility for parole. Given the manner he took Aliny's life in front of witnesses including his own daughter, there should be NO possibility of parole.
What about people who get a plea deal or just 30 years to be released after only a few...why? How? Ugh! It sucks!
Here in the US the life sentences actually mean LIFE I don't understand why the UK doesn't seem to give life sentences
Thank you for another well told, tragic story. I hope that her children will be cared for and always remember the love from their mother.
I enjoy your clear and sensible narration. No dramatic music or excessive verbiage:)

I’m surprised he used that he was “stress” as an excuse for killing his wife. Also how can he be taking it on her as it was his fault. Like I hated school and I still have some sour feelings. But I’m not gonna go and kill the people who made me stressed.
Believe me, here in brazil that actually work sometimes... He's stressed, he got hot headed and just did something horrible, poor child
@@lucasliotti3423 is it like one of those “guys will be guys” kinda things
That poor woman 😢. Abusers never make “fresh starts”, but one can’t blame their partner for hoping that they will. And it’s very difficult for a woman to leave when she has children. A very sad story.
SO...we should just kill all abusers, since "they never change"
To the mothers who are staying with an abusive partner, "for the children" what you're actually doing is teaching your kids that abuse in a relationship is acceptable. If you're in an abusive situation with children, leave! It's the best thing for children.
and for fathers in the same situation, it happens to men more than you would believe, as men typically bottle things up and remain silent through their suffering. speaking from personal experience.
Not always that easy to leave, I ad to get the cops involved to be able to leave
