I think another great starting point could be the DANGERDOOM album. You pointed out that if someone can't appreciate doom as a mc they could at least appreciate him as a producer, I think the opposite case can be found in this album; the production is more accessible (while still being pretty good) and for someone not used to the crazy skits found on DOOMs albums and the unique personality of his beats maybe they can start here to appreciate his delivery as mc and then jump to his other albums having this already solved

Vauldeville Villain was my eye opener! Heard tracks like doomsday and ? So went to madvillainy and that shit was nonse to my ears. Dosed up on Viktor and tried mm..food and it all clicked Madvillainy became a favorite after but it's definitely not a start album. I find VV to be the most accessible because even tho he's a timetravelling, scientific 17y/o stick up kid, it still feels more grounded and closer to a 90's sound

Honestly the first album i heard was mmfood and i didn't get it at all second album i heard was Operation Doomsday still didn't get it finally I heard DangerDoom when it came out and being a kid who grew up on old Adult Swim I fucking got it and listed to it over and over went back listened to other DOOM albums and loved them all.

People who can't get into DOOM are mostly mentally challenged, but anyway, I think vaudeville villain is the perfect start for anyone who's trying to dip they're toes into the DOOM world, because of his consistent godly lyricism per track and because the production is just so amazing. Edit: every DOOM album is top notch, it just needs to grow on you.
MF DOOM was murdered in hospital, completely neglected by the hospital staff and couldnt even ask for help. It genuinely breaks my heart that he died after falling out of bed trying to ask for help

Would love if People would Checkout Vaudeville Villain and DANGERDOOM albums two reputably diverted sounds & ways DOOM Switches up his delivery cadences and rhyme patterns. Plus alternative character and storytelling aspects.
I totally agree, I always recommend Operation: Doomsday first and the song Doomsday first, I feel like it's the best song for new people to hear cause it's not crazy, but still contains his sick wordplay and flow, has a hook, has a less abstract quality to the beat and the jazziness seems a more appealing entry Edit: ironically MM.. Operation DOOMSDAY is the best complete DOOM album.
