Main questions I had: •For the blue miata what is the name of the round non flat spot tires? Is it a specific wheel type? • which cheap coilovers would you recommend? Racelands? If so, which? (Plan on making it just as low as yours but also be able to street drift) (curious to hear what you think since people think ultimos are bouncy and not good for drifting) :) • Which rims does your blue miata have? I love your content and cannot wait till you drop the next vid! Keep it up! 🙌🏻🤩
So my last comment I posted while I was watching this video. San Jose? Welcome to the suck. I was born in Oxnard but lived most of my life in San Jose. I own a 2001 BRG Miata. Literally drove it off the showroom floor. And yes, it is probably the master and the slave and the clutch and the......... I have replaced each of the above so many times in the last 22 years. But they are so fun to drive, though.
I´m not an NB guy so I have no idea what they go for. Must have been cheap to fly up there to get it. It looks like it hasn´t been abused so it may be a minor repair/replace job. Fingers crossed.
Bro, NB and Gilroy in the same video?! What are the chances 😅 I actually saw that NB you bought it was out of my price range. I ended up scooping a ‘99 in much worse condition but I love it! Unfortunately it’s overheating pretty bad right now. I slapped in a new radiator, thermostat and new water pump/timing belt and it’s still burning up. Hopefully I get it figured out before it blows 😭 Looking forward to the future videos!

Born and raised in the South Bay, 31 years and I still feel like there is more to explore out here. I haven’t tried the coolant sensor yet, that was my next step. I just got my ELM327 in so I’m going to see what temps I’m actually getting since the stock gauge is useless. Just replaced my trashed motor mounts as well, it made a huge difference, but my steering rack is shot I think. I’m getting a “clunk” in the center, and staying straight on the freeway is definitely interesting 😅
I will next time I’m up there dude! I was in a crap mood so Gilroy just sits funny with me now lol I would imagine it’s sensor related that sounds strange That may be your fix 🤘🏼🤘🏼

@@SpiritDriven the more I work on this car the more issues I have 😭 Tried to purge the air from the coolant again, this time I really thought I had it but it still boils and spills out of the overflow tank and temps can reach 220F-240F after normal driving in 80F-90F degree weather. ALSO I tried filling the refrigerant since my AC won’t work and I’m stumped. Tried some relays I found on eBay but the clutch for the compressor still doesn’t come on unless I jump it. Same with the fans, is it possible I just got 2 more relays that were shot? Oh and the pressure reads 0 psi when I jump the compressor with car and AC on full blast but reads 35 psi when I turn the car off. It read 25 originally, I was able to fill it to 35 but it still reads 0 when the system is running. Idk if I’m just dumb or the problems I’m experiencing are actually that bad. I’ve only had the car for a few months and I don’t have that much info on the history other than it was setup to drift and was not properly maintained. So I might just be SOL 😑😫
How is the Maaco paint holding up on the blue Miata? I’m thinking of getting mine done, only has 49k on it so I’m wondering about longevity. Do you keep your outside or inside?
