Thank you as always Steve. Your unique voice and tone, translating analysis of the Russian Mir and your take on things by broadcasting daily - it really helps and when it all gets too horror filled with the daily loss of life, especially with the Russo-Ukraine War, your piano playing is just the tonic we need back in auld Blighty! Been enjoying your questions at the BRICS summit and your 1 to 1 with Mr Lukashenko recently. Thank you very much for all you do on this Channel and on The BBC, despite the challenges of reporting now and again. My wife reminds me regularly there are many Russian words for 'TRUTH' - a never ending quest for us all in today's Britain and Russia it would seem.
Strange they didn't suggest Turkey, considering that it continues to be the mediator with prisoner swaps. Surely it'd be an obvious choice. It's not even a member of the ICC, which would pose a problem in several other countries, including those that got mentioned.
Earlier this year, when PM Nerandra Modi of India, visited Kiev, I believe, Zelenskyy asked for a second "Peace Summit" to be held in India. IMO When India is one of the founding Member Countries of BR*CS, how Zelenskyy would consider India as a neutral country.
BRICS isn't a military alliance, but an informal economic group between mostly autocratic countries. In practics, it's nothing but an empty shell without any importance
In June 2024, Switzerland hosted Zelenskyy's "Peace Summit" who at the time, no longer held a Mandate from Members of The Ukrainian Electorate. His Mandate expired 21 May 2024.
@nigelgarrett7970 My comment is FACTUALLY correct. IMO When Members of The Ukrainian Electorate, on the occasion they were last allowed to vote, they did so, on the understanding The Term is for FIVE YEARS. The five year Mandate has expired. The Constitution of Ukraine. From my understanding, The Speaker of The Verkhovna Rada, RUSLAN STEFANCHUK, automatically becomes The Leader of Ukraine, when the President's Mandate expired.
@FunnyBunny-pd5xx You missed out the bit in the Ukrainian constitution about the provisions when martial law is enacted. Like when a large neighbour invades you for no reason but the ego of its aged leader. I wonder why you missed that bit?
Thanks Steve. I'm really enjoying these reports. A unique insight into the rusky media.
Stay safe !

Thanks very much Andy. Glad you find them interesting.
Great reporting, please keep up your amazing work and STAY SAFE!!!
Always interesting to hear what is being said in the Russian papers

The Rouble collapses and interest rates are 21% in Russia. Troubles for Putin.
@frankrenda2519 oh really, tell me one western economy that has interest rates at 21%? The rouble is now worth one cent.
@@frankrenda2519
You have correctly repeated a Kremlin approved talking point and can now collect your salary...
@frankrenda2519 No, it really isn't. You wouldn't want a mortgage in Russia right now. 100 ruble to the dollar isn't good either.
You've been saying this shit for 2 years
@claudio6572 in December I'll be saying Russian interest rates have gone up again 23%
‘Switzerland’s neutrality is in question. So perhaps Hungary?’ 🤔
Well, but they didn't mention Utkin's tattos, right?
Why would anyone in Russia need a stature of Stalin when they've got a real live Putin bringing back Stalinist times?
Seven words or more for the algorithm.

"Throwback: Tulsi Gabbard placed on Ukrainian"kxll list"
Except that's another fake Russian propaganda story. Can you do anything except peddle misinformation and lies?
Hegseth is gonna need to hit the ground running. His every move will be closely analysed. There ain't much room for any hiccups :-(
Hegseth just looks cartoonishly evil. And this is where it's okay to judge a book by its cover.

You may want to read the constitution of Ukraine before you embarrass yourself again with your lack of knowledge.
