It's funny how theyre going off about Ed being so amazing when in reality the dance is really amazing because of the girl haha. She's the one doing a lot of the work and Ed is just standing a lot of the time or lifting her

That is exactly how the coreo was designed tho. Also he isnt a dancer, he is just a pretty chill guy who drinks beer and writes songs. Most of the people are saying that ed was amazing because for a begginer who has never danced in his life, yeah this is pretty amazing. Also lifting is not easy. take it from a girl who gets lifted for dance, i feel more for my dance partner that i do for myself :p
I'd have to disagree that he's just standing there. Dancing with another person is extremely hard and it takes a lot of work to get in sync with each other. Considering that he isn't a natural or experienced dancer, I thought he did a beautiful job and the two of them together was hypnotic.

y'know ed isn't particularly hot or all the things most girls think of a 'sexy' guy as, his hair is all cute and messy, no bad boy hair styles, his handwriting is so messy, no six pack :) but there's something about ed that is distinct, the emotion with which he sings, the heart behind his lyrics and the fact that his songs are beautiful, without naked girls or swear words. this song just touches something in my heart. It's rare in this generation to find songs about love and just pure love. I'm glad our generation has someone like Ed Sheeran :)

To all the people saying she did 90% of the dance, let me remind you he's a bloody singer-songwriter not a dancer and he was not in "dancing with the stars" he probably had lots of things to do like promoting his new album, interviews, live shows, tour, etc. I think he did his best to do something he never does (dancing) and I admire that, and btw the video is as amazing as the song.

Ed is such a hard worker. “If Rugby players can do it on strictly”. I love that the two dancers recognised that there was a time in the dance sequence that she may have been hurt. I also love, love, love the song and video too x
It's always amazing to realise how much actual work and effort gets put into a mere 4-5 minute song or video and any other work piece, like this. Ed's done so much in his life and his career, and this is just one of those moments that make us (at least myself, as a fan) so proud of everything he's done. And it looks like it's just gonna keep going up from here. Amazing. Simply amazing.

It really does take a village. We tend to forget how much goes into these types of productions, which I guess is only normal... I mean we rarely get to see the behind the scenes - seeing all of the peeps who also put in a mad amount of hard work, time and talent to make it all possible.

Can we all just appreciate the fact that Ed Sheeran danced in his video. He could of gotten any other guy to do this for the video, but he was bound and determined to learn and be the one in the video to dance this. Not many artists would do that, he slimmed down some and took time to be taught the dance. I just still find it amazing.

I fell in love with the song and then I fell in love with the video. I absolutely love that Ed Sheeran actually danced it himself through so much hard work that it pays off beautifully. One of my top favorite videos of all time. It brings me to tears and every time I watch it I have to put it on repeat and fall in love with it all over again. I feel like this song and video is proof that true love and real romance is still out there to be found by anyone determined to search for it... Also means I still haven't found it yet. The scull-crushing/head-banging thing looks oddly elegant. The way Ed just continues to roll around to his side. If there was no voice-over explaining it I might not have noticed the collision and thought that it was part of the rutine. O.o

Great video and it gives me an even greater appreciation for Ed's skill to be able to do that with no previous dance background. He seems to be able to translate the musical feel directly into the dance. I also loved the touch of the "heart light' at the very end with the two spot lights on the floor casting a heart shaped light pattern around them. Very nice.

Thank you for this song. I know I'm a bit late, but I heard it for the first time yesterday. I've been away from my husband, helping my mom take care of my elderly dad. He's 70, she's 67, they have been together since they were 19 and 16. My dad was pretty sick and for the first time I saw true fear in my mom's eyes, fear of losing her true love. This song came at an emotional time for me. I say I love my husband, but I had no issues being away from him. This song reminded me of when we first married, I clearly remember going to bed with my lover, cuddling to sleep with my very best friend, and waking up with my husband, whom I adored in every way, and who treated me like a queen. Somewhere along the way commitments, disappointment, struggles and life got in the way. I realized I missed that relationship we had so very much. I was driving the streets of Austin recognizing how much I still adored the man I was married too, and my heart ached for him. I had been spending far too much time putting others before my marriage. It won't be long and he'll be 70 and I'll be 66. We won't have been together for 50 years like my parents, but that doesn't mean we can't still adore each other when that time comes, and right now. Thank you again for a song that came at the right moment and touched my soul, bringing my heart back to the place it was, not so long ago.

I just can't stop watching this Brittany is such a beautiful dancer and even though Ed doesn't have a dance background he did really well because it's such a complicated routine to a dancer let alone a non dancer, great dancing guys you blew my mind, girls love men who can dance or are wiling to learn, nothing more sensual than dancing
dance is not only an art form buts its a very serious athletic sport. the art is making it LOOK effortless. i took dance for years and i was ripped man. so i don't blame him for wanting to quit its so hard. and he was doing some seriously hard moves. i'm so impressed.
I'm so proud of him, like the moment I saw the video I thought like "wow this must have been difficult" but he nailed it and he did it perfect.

Total respect to you for choosing to dance for this video. Instead of going on mainstream tv to grab the dance limelight, you took the dance challenge in the name of your own music and I think that's so special. And boy do you deliver! It hooked me in, I feel it, I get lost in it and I will admit I have to watch it regularly. HAVE to! It keeps me coming back again and again. The emotion comes across in every move you both make, it's up there with the final dance of Dirty Dancing for me. It stands apart from the other music videos out there, in the same way "Guns in the Sky" by INXS and "Yellow" by Coldplay do. It pulled me into the song and, as your choreographer says in this video clip, I now see the dance when I hear the track on your album. Worth every ounce of effort and pound of sweat that it must've taken you to learn and practise the moves. Total respect. And thank-you.

This is and always will be the best video that you have out there. My daughter is a dancer since she was 2 & she's now 22. It's a sport & it's difficult to do. I'm so proud of you Ed Sheeran for making it look so easy, & for doing the video & dancing yourself with your partner. You were both amazing! I love your music.

Did you see when he was on some British show like Jools Holland where he basically used a machine at his feet to create the melody and beats to the song "Don't"? It was super hot and effing entertaining. You don't see performances like that on American tv.
I never pictured Ed Sheeran doing dancing like this. Simply breath taking. I loved all of the lifts and turns, but I especially loved it when Ed would hold his partner close and look down at her. That look......my heart melts every time!

"Fucking A" for "Awesome!!!!" So Romantic!!! and the fact that the man is less experienced in dancing (which only comes out in the SLIGHTEST way in the official video) is SO sweet!! Way to be brave and hang in there, Ed. The result is exquisite. Such a breath of fresh artistic air in the midst of all these music videos with a zillion cuts in them, as opposed to long, continuous filming. (Some of them are artistic, but most are just copy-cat & cheap.)
