    I have the RP-280F and RP-450C for Front/Center, it sounds amazing. When the 8000F and 504C came out, I did not see any different in specs that I would benefit from so I opted for the previous generation which is the setup I now have and saved about $500 a speaker, even tho I saved a lot of money, by doing my research, these are no “budget” speakers. You’re right, these RP models would play anything you throw at it just beautifully. I now need a higher end Yamaha receiver like A6A or Denon 4700H for my 5.2.4 setup.

      Which subs did You pair with them?

    • @arisistible1
      @arisistible1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@8000860 I have two of the R-12SW (they are budget, but figured same range as RFs) They cover a good range, just a little too punchy, (maybe bc my placement is limited) you have to really get your physical volume knob and receiver volume just right. Set physical crossover to highest (max) set receiver cross over to standard between 80 to 100 on your small speakers depending if u want the subs to do the lifting on anything below. I just stuck with 80. I’m hoping Klipsch comes out with a downward firing subs, from my experience, the ones that has a similar frequency range seems to have a wider fuller, yet subtle bass travel on the ears (Definitive subs for example). I never did any computerized test, I am more about whether or not I like the way it sounds, and so far I’ve been happy with what I was able to achieve without breaking the bank just to squeeze a little more sound; to me, it’s not worth it. I saw Spider-Man no way home in an AMC theater, the sound was awful, and it made me feel good about my own build lol.

    Just purchased 2 svs SB3000 to go with 4 RP8000 and a 64 ii center.... I can't wait to get it all hooked up. Running a Denon 4500h... was wondering if I should look at an amp to power the 4 rp8000 but not sure what kind of power would be suitable.

    • @ThaVillaMan
      @ThaVillaMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow, your system is going to sound INSANE! Even though the speakers are pretty sensitive I think it would be pretty hard for the receiver to drive all of them at higher volumes, especially if you have low crossovers (which I assume based on the type of speakers).
      I’d recommend a good 3 or 5 channel amp. Emotiva or Outlaw make some great ones. The Outlaw model 5000 or Emotiva Bas-X A5175 are great choices with more than enough power.

    Hi guys, I'm also looking into buying a decent Home Theatre Atmos sound system for myself. I recently bought a house and finally, now have some space for this to happen. Got a nice 4K LG OLED and an old Samsung ATMOS 5.1.4 soundbrar. The soundbar gave me an understanding of what ATMOS is and made me want more.
    So, the budget I have for the whole setup (including AVR/AMP) is approx £10k. So what I'm looking for is a system that will take advantage of all the newest tech, as I'm a gamer - VRR, ALLM + 4K/120HZ is much needed.
    I do listen to a lot of music, through Spotify, youtube, and occasionally some CDs on my PS5. My wife is a massive FILM maniac, mainly streaming but occasionally buying some UltraHD 4K Blu-Ray, therefore I really need a setup that will do it all, to be honest.
    Now, I have been looking at maybe a 5.2.4 setup, also maybe the Klipsch (or other "better" recommendations)???!?!
    Klipsch suggestion:
    Front L/R - x2 RP8000 (or RP6000),
    Front Centre - 1x RP-504C (or RP-404C),
    Sub - x2 (or x1) SPL-150 (or SPL-120, or 100),
    Back/Surround L/R - 2x RP-600M,
    Atmos (In-Ceiling) - 4x PRO-18RC (PRO-16RC),
    I have never owned any of the Klipsch speakers before, nor ever had the opportunity to own an AVR, but have heard very good things about the Klipsch in general (and the speakers do really look nice)... Not sure if there are any other speakers that look as nice, sound better, be within the budget, and will fit in the configuration I'm after...
    Now, the elephant in the room is that IF I was to go with the above setup (not sure if the upgrades over the cheaper options in the brackets are that much better) I'm really not too sure of which AVR/AMP I should go with.
    Well, to be exact, I'm struggling to find one that will be able to sufficiently/correctly power such a system.
    I was looking at the Denon AVC-X8500HA - it has all of the bells and whistles I'm after but it does 150W RMS 8Ohms, 2CH driven... which IF I understand this correctly, will only be enough for the 2 x RP8000?!?!
    Would this mean that it would not have enough juice to power the rest of the speakers sufficiently? I'm very confused over this one, to be honest... do I then need an additional AMP on top of all this? Is there an AMP that can even do this? What is the solution to all this? Can anyone please help?
    P.S. Your opinions and suggestions are also VERY much appreciated!

    Are these speakers as bright as everything else klipsch makes? I've avoided klipsch all my life because my ear drums bleed everytime the horn kicks in. I also heard from many owners you lose lots of sound if not sitting right in front because the tweeters are very directional. Asking all this because no one has them in stock to listen and even if they are cheap to buy I'm not willing to order blindly.

      A separate Amp is always going to sound better. An Emotiva XPA-3 for the L/C/R or XPA-5 for L/C/R + Rear Surrounds, and then run your other Speakers off the Amp. Lots of Recievers are spec's with only 1ch or 2ch driven, so it'll sound infinitely better with the extra Headroom since Klipsch are efficient Speakers. I had my Klipsch Reference Series Towers bi-Amped on a XPA-5 and they sounded fantastic. Nice review. I have 3 of the RP-8000F in front. I think they are awesome. With my Elite VSX-90, biamping the stereo pair really helped bring more warmth and mids out if them. I have no complaints at the pretty low price point. Very nice speakers.

    My home theater is still in its infancy to where I want to go with it when it comes to sound. The front stage what you have there is what I'm aiming for with the 8000 and 504. I have a mixed KEF Q100 for mains and a Klipsch RP250c for my center. Powered by a Yamaha RX-A1000. The blended sound of the Q Series driver array and the klipsch horn turned out nicely. But you can tell the klipsch just outshines the KEF's with projection of sound. I run a modest Klipsch 110sw for bass which does a good job but looking forward to a room full of copper one day

    Awesome reviews glad i found this channel.
    I ended up buying the RP600m speakers with R115SW for my room 12x14. Now im trying to figure out what would be the best way to get i to atmos. Im stuck on whether i should get the RP8000F and toss my bookshelves as side surrounds like you have or purchase the bipolars and keep the bookshelves as fronts. Do you think id gain much from the towers? And would it matter much if i used a different brand of speakers for the height speakers?

    • @ThaVillaMan
      @ThaVillaMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! How are you liking the combo so far?
      I think your eventual placement/equipment will totally be a matter of preference, but you have a great sub, so you don’t necessarily need the towers, but they are better for 2 channel music.
      Having different brand for height speakers is a non-issue. A lot of people are concerned about voice-matching when mixing speakers, but the height channel is typically purely for effects, so it’s totally fine.

    Man, Villaman, I’m stuck. I bought the 450c last year. A few months later I ordered to rp160m for 300 bucks. They sent me the new 600m’s so of course I wasn’t going to return them at half the price! Bass was lacking so I replaced old sub with a pb3000 in March. The problem I’m having now if my room is 3000 cubic ft and the bookshelves seem to have trouble producing any kind of perceptible bass under 100 hz. YPAO has me boost the eq at that range but I find it’s still not convincing in movies so I have my sub crossover set at 100hz to get the chest thumping mid-bass. I plan on buying a second pb3000 in the next few months but I’m really considering getting the floorstanders to help with even bass through music especially as I like to crossover at 60 hz for music. Here is my dilema and question. Do I order the new rp8000fs for only 200 dollars more than the 280fs? Or do I save 200 and get the 280fs that would match the rp450c? Both floorstanders are under 1000 bucks a pair.
    I like the sound of both the 600m and the 450c. I just want more as covid as forced me to make the most out of my HOME theater haha.

    • @ThaVillaMan
      @ThaVillaMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a tough one. It’s strange you have the speakers mixed with that sub but aren’t getting good bass. Your crossovers might need some fine tuning.
      But I think you should get the RP280Fs and an amp with the money you save. Especially if you’re going with bigger speakers. Something like an Emotiva BasX or Outlaw one should work great.

    I just wanted to ask does anyone think the bigger Klipsch RF-64 III, will sound good with the newer rp-8000f’s. I mean the towers are reference premiere, while the center is reference, meaning they are from different series.
