You hit the nail on the head with the Mahomes thing! I hadn't thought about the similarities with the Lions and having had to deal with Favre and Rogers before but that's a great call. I guess if anyone knows the feeling it would be Lions fans especially since you've had to deal with it for a longer time period. Hoping Harbaugh puts an end to the Chiefs stranglehold on the division! Bolt Up!
Talking about mountains, NT Jamal Williams and also Luie Keltcher DT were the best of the best in their time. I can still hear Luie Luie. They broke the Sack record at 60 I believe 1980-81 . .Good show. Thanks.
We have always had great QBs. We had Dan Fouts, Johnny Unitas (toward the end of his career), Jim Harbaugh, John Hadl (loved watching him play but never had any pass protection), Doug Flutie, Tobin Rote, Rivers, Brees, etc. Most of them were throwing the ball as they were falling backwards. So their feats appear even greater. But of course I always think of Bambi (Lance Alworth). Also the great running backs, Tomlinson, Marion Butts, Natrone Means, Paul Lowe, Melvin Gordon, etc.
Need to see what happens. Im excited, but i was excited last year. Give it a break unless they sign someone significant. The Chargers have talent and definitely a better coaching staff. Check back in with you at the end of training camp.
Depends on a team's draft position and how many 2nd & 3rd round picks they have. Can draft many starters IF their talent evaluation scouts ID'S the prospects. Still is a gamble if the players chosen don't develop or having problems adjusting to the NFL speed and physicality. Draft rounds 1-4 means drafting possible starters. Draft rounds 5-7 can find starter surprise potential and signing as many UFA players as possible to either find fits for the special team.or development projects that may take a few years. Age does matter and team's must address that roster challenge every year. Before the salary cap, veteran players could play until they're 35+. Now it's rookie contracts + a few franchise tags then one big multiple year contract. The player would be near or over the 30 year old mark. Players could use the tactic of shorter 2-3 year contract and get another big market value contract. But that's betting on yourself and any injury could derail that plan as team's will shy away or offer a 1 year prove it contract. Can see incentive clauses make a comeback if a salary floor is established. If a player hits or passes these performance hurtles, then say a QB, can get their 40-50+ million dollar payday.
Shawn lights out Don Coryll inventer of the West Coast Offence. Ask bill Walsh joe Gibbs to name a few who both won Super bowls. Under the mentorship of Air Coryll. Jim Harbaugh QB honorable mention. Season tickets Family 45 years RV
This is a brand new organization. Some of the players are the same, but EVERYTHING else is brand new. I will throw this out there, though. Justin Herbert can beat the Chiefs. His coaches haven't been able to stop the Chiefs. Review the games.

@@MANN8118 Incorrect, Chargers won the first AFL championship. And yes, that counts
Gill Byrd, Natrone Means, Jamal Williams, John Jefferson, Little Train
LaDainian Tomlinson, Junior Seau, Dan Fouts and Antonio Gates.

I do get sick of the Mahommes comments but it just gives Harbaugh a target to aim for…..👍

Don’t forget John Madden (who won a Super Bowl) was an assistant coach under Don Coryell at San Diego State.
Did Bill and Don work together? I know Don worked with Joe at San Diego and Saint Louis.
Chocking Chargers
LT, SEUA, FOUTZ, GATES, HARDWICK. And weddle and Winslow over Allen

Chargers are not more talented than 49ers he had
Means absolutely nothing
