  • Rotary tools are super useful additions to your workshop. I love my Dremel 3000 series rotary tool, but the fact that it is a wired device, can be irritating. You have to find the AC outlet, connect, manage the cable. Even when what you try to cut or polish is very small. And here comes the Greenworks V8 which is battery operated, USB-C chargeable and has a very cool spindle locking mechanism.

3:10 but can you use the drill continuously while plugged into the USB-C cable?

Great review. I've been scouring the internet for a USB-C rotary tool of at least passable quality, and having a lot of trouble finding anything worthwhile. Dremel tools are nice I guess, but they are expensive and really ugly design. And none of them have a convenient power option, even the battery-powered ones.
Admittedly I already placed an order for the Greenworks AGK302 before I watched your review. But I'm glad your review confirmed what I was already expecting. Looking forward to getting the tool!

I still use it on refular basis. Almost 1 year later. So it's a good tool I suppose

@@PSAfterHours Great to hear that it has been lasting!
I'm surprised this product is almost 1 year old and I've only just found it. Really been looking hard for a small rotary tool with USB-C charging for quite some time. They could improve the visibility of this product.
I hope other manufacturers wake up and realise there is demand for these kind of products. I'm a big fan of all the little gadgets by Miniware... I have a TS80p soldering iron and it has been great. Really wanted a rotary tool with similar design principles. This Greenworks AGK302 is the closest I've found so far!
