I have an issue with writing from scratch too! Editing is much easier for me, although it greatly damages my self-esteem 😅 But while editing I have at least something to work with. When it's just a blank page, it's such a pain!

Awww yeah, revisions can be tough (and brutal at times), but know you're not alone! I've heard from many established authors that they still have to spend a fair amount of time revising their story, even after having published a bunch of books. So while you get better at recognizing when something is missing, revisions are still important for things you might have missed the first time around - and it's usually different for every author. So, find what works best for you! 😊(I will probably make a separate video on tackling revisions.)
The blank page can certainly be daunting! It's always that first step that's the hardest, but it feels so good when you push through and get into that flow! 😊

This is essentially a tutorial video. When writing a tutorial you should set three goals and prioritize them. Here are mine but feel free to make your own set.
#1 Clarity: What information am I trying to convey? Is it being conveyed.
#2 Concise: How quickly can I convey the information without compromising clarity?
#3 Humor: People tend to remember things better if they laugh, can I sprinkle in a little humor without losing clarity or using to many extra words.
Next you may want to include time codes in your description, TH-cam will put these on the video's progress bar automatically and it makes it easier for a viewer to go back and rewatch parts and to see how the video is divided up.
I wouldn't bother pushing your credentials in the video, maybe just one sentence tops. Put the rest in the description. And maybe one sentence on how you took 12 years on one book and now you can do it in a month with a 'and you can too' vibe. If you want to plug your books plug them into the point you're making.
Lastly, the book shelf is simple elegant background for this video. Contemplate the books you're showcasing in the shot. Right now the eye is drawn most heavily to that Emotional Intelligence book behind you. Since this is a writing tutorial you may prefer to showcase books with titles like 'a writer's guide to' or suchlike. This is a minor thing, but your viewers will read the book titles so you may as well put thought into which ones are most visible.
If you want to maximize your improvement, rescript this video two more times trying different angles and film them. Set all three videos aside for a bit, then watch them back to back and try to evaluate them.
