I am a Konkani to but one thing I really hate about Bollywood how they show Goa has only a party place drugs drinks and all Goa is more than that and they only show people these kind of image of Goa and people don't understand the real image of Goa anyways Bollywood sometimes sucks.
Some people here are saying that Konkani and Marathi same it was not same I am a Konkani and I know that some little bit of things are same but not it's exactly same Konkani and Marathi is a different different languages don't compare them both.
Konkani is konkani and marati is marati. I am sure that even in konkani/marati there are many different accent( speaking/ pronouncing style)
As region changes, accent also changes.there are many similarities but still both language are same and there are many diffrences but till somewhat both languages are same.😟😟😟

Konkani is a sister language of Marathi plus the regional influence (ie, MH, Goa or K’taka) Me despite not knowing Konkani spoken in K’taka but can still make out what exactly someone’s saying simply because the root words are the exact same just the dialect and regional influence adds to the character nothing else.

I am a konkani. My parents are from Mangalore. Me born and brought up in Bombay. People in Mangalore don't understand my konkani though I am fluent in it. My konkani is a bhaji palla of english, hindi, marathi & gujarati words. I don't understand the konkani of some Mangalore people as they mix up lot of kannada words and I don't know kannada. Uffffff!
