Yes sir! Ill be putting out a lot more videos if I can manage not to be injured until April again this year! I've been posting a lot to insta lately! @timhumphreys What do you think about trick tips, but styled more like a video walkthrough, ranging from ultra basic riding/etiquette to super high consequence riding, how to bail.. Etc?
TIIIIIIMMMMMMMM! Nice edit again man. Just got the chance to watch this video but that shit was dope. Can't even imagine the feeling of riding on that Alaskan powder! I'm so jealous, man!
Any tips on how I can start learning tricks with more spins and flips? Do I just go for it and bail if it goes bad? I always wonder how I should try new tricks and where to try them at. Any feedback would be great, @timhumphreys
haha, I wouldn't just go for it! The best way is to start small and work your way up! I'd recommend waiting for some fresh powder or a warm slushy day so the snow is soft! get on a trampoline and learn the tricks there first so your body knows what to do when you try it on snow. I could write a novel about this stuff. do you have a particular trick in mind? flanboi55
Is there any email I can contact you instead of TH-cam? I have a TON of questions! It's a bit tricky for me living in North Carolina because we don't get the best snow...at all haha. But like I said I would love to be able to talk to you on a different platform because you are definitely the type of person I can learn from! And thanks for replying! +Timhumphreys
hmm, a couple things come to mind: practice on a trampoline, find somewhere with soft snow, make sure the jump has enough pop, look for your landing then put your feet under you. don't underestimate the trampoline practice!
Tim your jacket.... Well there are no appropriate words to describe it so this will have to do... pure sexyness. I would kill to have that jacket! haha And keep up the videos man I absolutely love them!
haha! well, you don't have to kill anyone to get it! I believe you can actually exchange money at your local Neff dealer for one, and you even get the option to choose a size that suits you. As for the videos, you know I always be filming!
I switch up the video modes, but always protune on, and auto white balance. I like the 960p100fps for selfie videos because I can get better framing, but it's more post production work. 1080p60fps is always good, I sometimes use the 1440p48fps mode for selfie shots going in a 1080p project. 2.7k is good for scenic shots. I compile the time lapses from photo sequences. I experiment a lot too. Hopefully that helps!
Hell yeah! that's what's up! There's a lot of choices of gear to ride, but I've been riding Neff Outerwear, and Flow hardgoods. Whatever board you choose, look one that flexes more easily, so you will have an easier time turning it. It's easier to learn on 'rocker' or 'reverse camber' because it's harder to catch your edige. holler at me with your height, weight, foot size, and where ya ride, and I'll try and help you with more specific info!
***** If I were to kit you out in FLOW gear, I'd recommend the Verve 152 board, ANSR, Rival, or 1hitter boot, and The Five or Fuse-AT binding. Of course, you can choose any gear you like though. Look towards the softer flexing everything (the lower end of the product line) because you are mostly jibbing and you don't weigh that much. If you have a large foot like a 12 or bigger, look for a wide or mid-wide board.
***** generally speaking, if you're riding the mountain, or hitting big jumps, you would want a bigger stiffer board, but for street, you want something smaller and that flexes easier. same goes with boots and bindings. the faster you go, and the higher in the air you want to land from, the stiffer you want your gear to be so it supports you from the impact and forces.
***** depends. which way are you eating shit? flipping too much? not flipping enough? turning in the air and catching an edge? sometimes the jump changes and you have to adjust your riding! lemme know what's join wrong and I'll try and help ya!
***** ahh, this is some classic mental game right here! The trick is super easy right when you learn it, then impossible to do again. it sounds like you need to snap the flip around harder at first so you can get your eyes on your landing sooner, and accordingly put your feet back under you!
***** yeahboiii! learn from your mistakes! Figure out why you bailed, and how you can avoid doing it in the future. It can be any reason really. I'll list off some questions I ask myself sometimes when I'm having trouble: When/what was the last thing I ate. Am I warmed up. Did I do lots of activity the day before. were my muscles tight or sore before I started. what was I thinking about while doing the whatever. when was the last time I stretched. am I dehydrated. did I just drink a ton of water.. When you start entering into doing moves that require full commitment, you need to get in tune with your body + mind. Knowing what hinders you is just as important as knowing what helps you.
Sweet edit! It stands out from the thousands of selfie GoPro edits in a good way!

Hey I was wondering what video settings you use for your GoPro
