This lesson about his solo sticking style reminds me of his famous solo on "Kozo's Waltz," from the Messengers's A Night in Tunisia album. Probably my favorite Blakey solo of all time--and he keeps that tight hi-hat chick on 2 and 3 throughout, too!

Now I got inspired to do more Blakey videos😃 There's no Blakey in the John Riley books but there is an entire book called "Art Blakeys Jazz Messages" by John Ramsay, which I haven't looked in actually..with solos & stuff I suppose. But Ill definately do some more transcribing as well this fall!! Thanks again!!!
