Super useful info, thank you for this! I was also confused by their marketing and thought this was a faerie-themed deck instead of a more budget friendly version of the existing deck. Also, love the P4 background music :3
i saw your first video and fell in love with that deck! thank you so much breaking them down side-by-side like this. i think i’m gonna splurg a little bit and get the nicer deck. i like investing in my decks EDIT: i wish their marketing was better with the decks as well. i heard the new “faerie deck” was just a reprint of the geekify deck. only it’s neopet’s store brand reprint.
Thank you so much!!!! ;~; The Geekify deck is just amazing and far better to read with imo due to the size. I'm the same way too, I want a deck that can deal with my terrible shuffling a little more ha ha! :p Highly suggest getting it and good luck with your readings!!! :3
Alright, fine… You’ve convinced me to splurge on the geekify deck when I do buy one. 😅 the size and gift code are the big ones for me. As a tarot deck collector myself, the quality of the cheaper deck at that price point is really incredible, though! I was so close to just getting that one, but for something this sentimental to me, it would be nice to own a more elevated deck.
Yeah!! The peer pressure!!! >:3 I agree 100% though. I feel like I've never used my hands before when I try to shuffle the faerie edition XD The Geekify one is crazy nice though, so I know ya won't regret it!!! :3
Thank you so much for this video! From the information given, I thought these decks were completely different. I’m glad now I know I can decide between the two.
27:32 BICICLETA! Very interesting to see that they indeed were faithful to the Rider-Waite depictions of the cards while giving it a Neopets feel (and softening the more intense images like the Ten of Swords) It's always a good day when we're blessed with a Joe Hands sighting :3
bicicleta get!!!! >:3 I really love the art in these decks too! :o It's so well done fr fr, no cap. c: And every day is a great day when shuffle Joe is there! :D
Nice comparisons! Interesting decision to make a budget deck so soon. Seems like they wanted to make the cards more of a display item this round? As a creative industry person, your thorough notes between the books and cards has me super intrigued about their process 👀 The second version has definitely had a more attentive hand go over everything, but why...?
Omg, it's crazy right!! I am so curious about the decisions behind some of the changes between the books and little details with the cards, and like you said, the timing! :o 'Bout to dawn that tin foil hat and start theorizing >:3
@@RiniLenoxx It's for sure been edited. The "22" vs "twenty-two" screams in-house guidelines, which is further proven by the publisher logo and official print page (the page with all the info about who did what). And if they did the Proper Publisher treatment, I'm sure a graphic designer touched up the card designs. I just wanna know why 👀
Thank you so much!!!! ;~; They are both really well done for their price points, so I highly suggest them! :3 Even just for a sit-about I think they are cool! :D
Thank you for this comparison video. I carry my oracle deck with me all the time and worry about it getting damaged. I think leaving it at home and getting the faerie deck would be a good idea since it's more affordable
Correct! :) The one that has the white edges is the faerie edition that is a lot easier to get verses the one with gold edges that you can only get from geekify. :c

You are more than welcome!!!

The one that has more color is the copy and the edges are not gold the other from geekify is the original and kinda difficult to get
