    That’s why they need to be indoor with an outdoor enclosure. My Burmese are totally happy with their outside enclosure and walkway and between them they have 12 years and have never killed a bird.

      That's great, Anne. My cats love the outdoor access, even if they can't get out there and kill things. Just to go smell and feel the world outside, watch birds, chattering at them, so on.

      Awesome job! Thank you so much for being a responsible pet owner, too many people out there just let their cats run around outside where they often become extremely damaging to native wildlife (in Australia they've even made several bird species endangered!), could contract or spread so many diseases/parasites or get killed by so so many things. I wish more people were like you

    God I love octopus so much, it's so amazing how an animal with such high capabilities in camouflage and physicality also has an amazing intelligence. Usually for things like game balancing, if one has capabilities in one, you won't find much in the other, but they're absolutely amazing. I guess to balance it out they're prey to so many and with that their soft bodies increase the difficulty level of survival for them.

    • @cheesenipspartymix
      @cheesenipspartymix 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But with their soft bodies they can sacrifice limbs easily in order to escape predators, squeeze into miniscule cracks (so long as the single cartilage part of their body fits; their tiny beaks), which enables them to catch hidden prey or hide away. Many octo species also can deliver very strong venomous bites that can be bad enough to kill humans. Really the only disadvantage they have is their lifespan, as they generally only live a few years, at the end of which they breed and starve to death while caring for the eggs

      they’re awesome. they’re so intelligent and also feel more pain than humans so it boggles my mind that people can eat them.. there’s even a trend of eating them alive..

    • @DelusionalGoldfish
      @DelusionalGoldfish 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@whimbrella Yeah it's rlly unfortunate bc there's also this belief that sea creatures don't feel pain or something, specifically targeted to crustaceans and squids/octopi etc but now it's been scientifically proven they can to some degree. Even worse is that octopus are rlly tough to "kill" ethically for consumption, the only way to do so is to make them as cold as possible so that they become numb and paralyzed, and then do the whole process of making them into food etc cause there's no way to just kill them swiftly when they have three hearts etc body anatomy shenanigans.

      I wouldn't be surprised if your cat scent-marks his car by pulling their claws-paws down the side of the metal. They have scent-glands in their paws for marking things as "theirs". The claws probably don't leave any scratches, but if the cat happens to be scratching in one area consistently, perhaps some scuffing would happen. Scratching down to the metal? Probably not, but slight damage to paint, maybe. Whatever it is, don't doubt that he's seen the cat do scratching motions on his car--they put their scent on all sorts of things that way. If it happened to be scent-marking in the same area that his car has some paint damage, he might be accusing the cat of the damage due to an understandable mix-up.
