Ampex VPR3 shuttling

Brief grab of one of my machines shuttling at full speed (50x normal play, just under 500 inches per second). Unlike most other tape machines (reel or cassette) where fast wind is controlled by the reel drive motors, it is the capstan that is responsible for speed and direction of the tape on this deck, in all transport modes. Reel motor drive is purely a function of tape tension error, which is sensed by 2 air-film tension arms.
