The worst part about the Rheneas redesign is that like 4 years later, Wooden Railway released Smudger, who is a WAY better version of the Dolgoch-kind of design, and can even rival the original in my opinion. But NO - Rheneas still stayed the same until 2013.
I just noticed that the 1994 Bertie has four windows, while the 2002 Bertie has five. It reminds me of the Bart's Nightmare episode of Console Wars, because both things involve buses having the same number of windows.
I think Rheneas has Sir Handels face because, in the season 4 nameboards their faces are swapped, So they probably based the redesign off of his nameboard shot
If you do a top 5 best wooden railway redesigns, here’s some options 2006 Oliver/toad/scruffey 2007 daisy 2008 sir Handel Peter Sam and Duke 2012 skarloey, SH & PS
The worst Wooden Railway item would have to be the Wooden Railway Fisher Price Bulstrode the faces fine and the details are simplistic for the most part but why would you make him this small? I do remember getting the Cranky at the Docks set from Thomas wood which is the 2018 version and let's just say I think it's simple but good and I literally painted cranky and washable paint back in 2019 and I had nothing to do with Bulstrode at the time but now ever since that they released the new 2022 Brendan Docks set I will definitely will have that set and keep the new Cranky and Bulstrode overall I will respect your opinions on the worst Wooden Railway items.

I won’t argue about this. I don’t like a lot of these Redesigns either. But I don’t think Bertie’s change is ALL bad. Having both versions could show that he’s not ALWAYS full of passengers 24/7. And The magnet means he can be towed by Butch. That’s kinda cool.
Well at least unlike the previous version of Diesel 10 they got Pinchy's color right cause ever since Magic Railroad his claw was this dark brown not a light tan color in fact I fixed my "magic Railroad" Diesel 10 by removing the normal Pinchy and replaced it with the Pinchy I got from my "Day Of The Diesels" version of Diesel 10
Crazy part is I have both Diesel 10 and Rheneas….he looked better in orange if you ask me….and those wheels are supposed to be gray for some ungodly reason….
