Had to blink twice seeing myself in a SnowTrax video! Ski-Doo made some pretty substantial changes to the MXZ lineup for 2025 and we can't wait to try them. We might just have to spring order one..
A 140 miles this year tells me I made the best decision and keeping my 2 2012 snow machines that I got for 2500 apiece that will run with those all day. And mine look just as good on the trailer as yours do because that's where they're sitting.
Still no SHOT included on the 600 XRS Comp despite Doo proclaiming the 600 class gets all the goods now. So frustrating... customers have been asking for literally 10 YEARS. Why would they not want to save an additional 20 pounds in the XRS Comp especially when its heavier than the competition.
i hope so. these dealers need a reality check. My dealer had left over summit edges dicounted to 13,500 but by the time you got out the door they were 15,500 after made up dealer fees. time for a big a correction.
You guys need to address the 10.25" screen with GPS so people know what they are getting, or really not getting in this case. Adding GPS only allows the map to track you and will drop bread crumbs. What BRP isn't talking about that needs to come out is, if you still want to use the main features of a true GPS system like creating a route, seeing points of interest to route to, etc, this still requires you to plug in your phone and run the BRP GO app. Huge miss and I feel people are being mislead. Plus no buddy tracking without cell coverage. How many years is BRP going to screw this up?
I've heard this before and I'm a Doo guy now after being a lifelong cat guy. They all have great sleds now and imo there's a reason skidoo has 50+% of the market. I'd gladly add 1 of each manufacturer to my stable if I could.. I feel ST represents all sleds openly and honestly hence why I value they're opinion. This new front end was the missing link for doo and it's ski-doos reveal maybe that's why it feels doo heavy.
Very different.. The turbo in the freerides and summits is more of a compensator. Meaning as you gain altitude, the turbo kicks in to continue to deliver the same consistent 165 hp. The 850 Turbo R in the backcountry and mxz models gives you a full 180 hp at ground level, so you definitely notice it compared to the NA 850s. Cheers, Jesse
You said you would buy the mxz xrs 850, it stood out to you the most after riding them all. What about it did you like so much and how did it compare to the new trail width BC?
The new front end just seemed to work better the lighter the sled was. Which is why I prefered the non turbo. It just worked better in the bumps and corners. I think smart shox is cool... but its not something id pay for either in money or weight.
We're Canadians, bro. Not all of us say it like that, but there's a few words we say differently than you. Glad you can at least still understand us though. You're going to absolutely crap your pants when you see how we spell FAVOURITE and COLOUR...
If ur worried about price!!! Classic 2022 2023 2024 now 2025 sitting in showrooms!! Anybody worried about price better be poor dealers! Dealerships sitting on 200 UTV and ATV plus 100’s of sleds!!! Welcome to the no more ripping off customers. Good luck everyone
Luke you sold me on the 2015 Pro X 800 coming off of a 2002 Arctic Cat ZL 800 LOL thank you. Now you're going to make me go from Polaris to Ski-Doo LOL thank you again. If there's any single thing that I could critique about you personally. If you could please stop calling the MXZ a MX Zed.... maybe it's just me personally but I find it completely annoying LOL it's a f****** MXZ not a MXZed LOL sounds like the 80s talking... otherwise thank you for all the awesome content
Yup you're not saying anything anyone else isn't thinking, but the snowmobile world will keep moving forward and next season will be a big snow year and we'll all be calling in sick to pile on all the miles we didn't get this year.
I bought my 2nd adrenaline 850 this year. I ride as hard as anyone I know and have been very happy with them. Shopping all brands, it's thousands cheaper than any other base model 850. Great value with minimal compromise.
I got a ‘24 renegade adrenaline. Due to no trails open within 1000 miles, I’ve only had it out once, but it’s awesome!! Plenty fast, handles great and comfy!!
Next year, would love to see à shootout of 600 class high end trail sled like you just did and add the Lynx Rave RE 600r that will be available in North America
Nothing earth shattering. I feel this industry is on a downhill slope. Too expensive, no snow, and now the market is flooded with machines. The snowtrax team may soon have to find real jobs.

Great job, Mike! I wasn't expecting to see you on this video but glad I did!
You’re becoming quite the big shot!! Great job! Sill love your vids more than STTV.
Lol, it was great hanging out and working with you this past week. I see more collaborations in the future.
@@pavmentsurfer13 You as well!! For sure. We are alway game!
Nice to see Mike on this video! Great job brother. Cheers!
Thanks buddy! It was an awesome opportunity and the discussion just flowed so naturally.
Finally, 600s with big gauge and smart shox options.
A 140 miles this year tells me I made the best decision and keeping my 2 2012 snow machines that I got for 2500 apiece that will run with those all day. And mine look just as good on the trailer as yours do because that's where they're sitting.
I need to switch back to an open trailer so I can at least look at my sleds once in a while!
That's facts. Thing would be feather weight class
I agree.
SHOT in a 600 would be awesome!
A shot comp edition is a no brainer, also 850 comp should be.. while at it the 850T should be available in non comp XRS.
You two are great!!! Thanks for the video
Thanks man!
Appreciate that! 👊💥🎉
The industry is going to take a big hit. No snow brother
I will be lucky to get out on the sled 4 times this season 🙏 😢
It's not the first time we've seen a low snow season and industries that are weather-dependent prepare for scenarios like this.
i hope so. these dealers need a reality check. My dealer had left over summit edges dicounted to 13,500 but by the time you got out the door they were 15,500 after made up dealer fees. time for a big a correction.
I thought last years steering/skis were the best. I bet the 2026 are even better lol
Awesome job Mike! I guess you too Luke hah! That MXZ XRS in a 600.... Dang. Might have to sell the Expedition for that one.
Thanks Devon! Hope you found it informative :)
Wish they would show the 4 stroke Renegades
“The new ski.”
Sounds like quite a breakthrough. Would like to hear more about. Maybe a discussion when biking. 👍😀
Fan boy club REJOICE!!!!!
The naturally aspirated crossover shootout for 2025 in 850 with Polaris, Lynx, Ski-Doo and Arctic Cat is an idea
What about SNOW ❄. Where is that option 🤔.
😂
We've ordered extra for next season 👍
600cc is plenty for where I live and ride in the Tug Hill region in NY
Damn 👍👍👍👍
great video! Thank you for doing this one to show the 25 Skidoos! What kind of Mic are you running?
Thank you. Pretty sure the guys are using DJI...
Would love to see a new Lynx Rave with a 600 motor!
So you can get the 10.25 dash in the xrs package but not in the competition package with a 600?
Bingo.
Any other MX-Z models get the 850 Turbo R or only the XRS??
I watched the heads of ski doo and they have 60 % of the market . They want 100% of the market .
Who wouldn't?
Sure, the comp is not for everyone, but 30 grand for a sled is insane. No amount of technology will justify that price tag.

We're going to work on a segment that goes into detail about the new screen and highlights what it can do. Stay tuned...
Glad to see Lynx is bringing the 600R to North America !👍🇺🇸 (I know, this is a Skidoo video).
We got to ride the RAVE Enduro 600R last March and it was awesome. So glad to see the 600R in the RAVE here this season.
@@snowtrax nice to see skidoo addressing their 2 biggest weakness…..their front end, and gauge 👍
@@snowtrax ya know I would have purchased the RAVE Enduro 600 if it was available the first year (instead of the 850 RAVE).
Is the mxzx 600r a fire ward post sled with rack steering then?
To bad they didn't put that new ski and suspension on the Renegade. I and many would have bought a new one.
My guess is there's a lot of inventory of the old ski and next year the Renny line will get this new front end.
Is it really worth it? Did you really notice a big improvement? Thanks.@@snowtrax
Man. If I didn't know any better it appears that SnowTraxx is being sponsored my Ski-doo🤔🤔🤔, the majority of there videos is ALL about doo!
I've heard this before and I'm a Doo guy now after being a lifelong cat guy. They all have great sleds now and imo there's a reason skidoo has 50+% of the market. I had a turbo free ride in Ontario. And I did not notice any difference at all. I’m sure it’s great in the big mountains.
Very different.. The turbo in the freerides and summits is more of a compensator. Meaning as you gain altitude, the turbo kicks in to continue to deliver the same consistent 165 hp. Is there a 129 turbo???
Not all of us like long tracks!
no, no track length options on the competition package. Just shocks and color.
Could not agree more on the track length.
Will that ras rx fit on a 2024 gen 5 backcountry and will they make a kit to do it?
I dont see any reason that it wont fit. They didnt say anything about a kit though.
Could I ask why you wouldn't want the smart shox?
The new front end just seemed to work better the lighter the sled was. Which is why I prefered the non turbo. It just worked better in the bumps and corners. I think smart shox is cool... but its not something id pay for either in money or weight.
I would be interested to hear why you wouldn't select the SmartShox.
Gotta ask what’s up with saying Mx-zed vs mxz like ski doo themselves say it as?
We're Canadians, bro. Not all of us say it like that, but there's a few words we say differently than you. Glad you can at least still understand us though. You're going to absolutely crap your pants when you see how we spell FAVOURITE and COLOUR...
Can we get the new Brakes on other sleds or only XRS COMP?
The new 4 piston brake is available in the MXZ and Renegade XRS's, not just the comp. It isn't available in the BCXRS though.
Does all 600 mxz comes with the 4 piston caliper brake in 2025?
No. I believe its only XRS... possibly X package as well but I didnt look at that. I should have.

Funny how he did care for the smart shocks cat tried smart ride shock in 2002 and they didn’t last long on production sleds!
I wonder if the technology is better 20+ years later, hmmmmmm

No way man. You can't change me. I'm gonna double down and really start pronouncing the "U" in FAVOURITE now too.
How many bought newc2024s and have little to zero miles on them?? Gonna be hard selling anything 2025 with no snow. Thanks weather modification.
Yes.
Hard to buy a sled when it doesn’t snow.
Yup you're not saying anything anyone else isn't thinking, but the snowmobile world will keep moving forward and next season will be a big snow year and we'll all be calling in sick to pile on all the miles we didn't get this year.
Can you do a video on a polaris switchback sport 550 please and thank you 😊
We don't. Sorry.
What about a polaris lxt voyageur 550 fan
Turbo is a waste of money unless you are high elevation or lake running a lot.
It just seems like a ton of money for 10% more power. If they were around 200HP stock, that seems like the correct amount of jump to justify the cost.
U gotta pay to play... if u can't afford why complain??
@@Derrek4RealWhat does that even mean?
youve obviously have never driven one kuz if u had u woulda realized
@@darrrenbetker4266I agree. These aren’t just for lakes and mountains but some people have no clue….

Why does he say MX Zed and not MXZ in all his videos?
That’s how Canadians say z
We're a wacky bunch up this side of the border...
So... abcdefg......tuvwxy"zed"?

Skidoo probably has a lot of Pilot-X skis in inventory.
Yes....
