Hey Ashley 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾. I have affectionately named the skeleton head that peaks over your right shoulder on most of your videos as "Giggles". He/She looks to be laughing 😁💀
If you're thinking about rereading Dracula, then Dracula Daily is about to start on May 3, the day the book starts. You sign up and everyday you get emailed the portion of the book that corresponds to that date. There's also a podcast version called Re:Dracula that I listen to at work sometimes.
Haven't finished the video yet but when you got to the section with your copy of Caste I had to jump down here to ask: As a white woman looking to expand her reading after Wilkerson's book (I read it for a class and we had *amazing* discussions about it, my copy is heavily annotated) do you have recommendations? I have already picked up White Tears Brown Scars and plan to pick up several titles including How to Be an Antiracist and The New Jim Crow, but some of the titles I see on your shelf look interesting too! Edit: You seemed resigned about Children of Blood and Bone; why did you want to get rid of it? Did you just not like the books, or is it about the author? I got the first two books secondhand on recommendation from a couple people on Booktok last year, did something happen?

I'd never heard of Roberta Gayle; I'm going to look into her works. I love finding new-to-me Black authors that write historical romance!
You have such an amazing collection 😍.

I love this bookshelf tour! It’s so fun to see people’s personal reading taste and collection :)
Thank you. I got some new books added to my ridiculously long amazon list 😄
So many good reads 😻
I also love Life of Pie. One of the few books I have read over and over again! Love seeing your shelves ❤
👍👍 Always enjoy a good book-shelf tour!!!
Ooooh how fun! ✨
I’m sending you love❤❤❤
Why does Octavia E. Butler scare you? 😄 I’d like to know. Haven’t read her yet, but I do own Parable of the Sower
