for everyone out there that doesn’t really know about shias, mo deen is an innocent and above all a great humble man but dont think he represents shiasm as a sect of Islam and its beliefs/practices.
mo deen may say things that help u understand a few things but he’s not a representative, esp when u see all the online tiktok issues that i have no right to comment on, I spare judgement
you would have to do your own independent research into the martydom of hussain and shiasm as a whole if you are really curious
haloo thanks for the video always fun to watch you both ❤️

@@Hector-bf3hk sunni and shia are more or less the same, i dont like to focus on the differences
whats more important is to understand and follow islam
the shia comes from the follower of Ali a.s implied by those who followed Ali after the prophets death
we have various differences in terms of laws, theology and historical narratives
but both sects try to follow the sunnah as close as possible and lot of us and more should spend more time with each other and pray together

@@thebrotherhood1675 When i reverted to Islam i learned pretty quickly if you do something that the prophet Muhammed SAW didn’t do then its NOT Islam.. Christianity has alot of that and it being a religion 2022 years ago i can imagine Shiasm will become the same. I had a little read about Shiasm before responding and i found there to be a criteria to be a shia and its very clear its not Islam, sorry.

@@Hector-bf3hk Well clearly you read the wrong sources. We follow the sunnah and hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW , believe in one God, Allah. We have minor differences as we follow the Prophet Muhammad's family and believe Ali was the first caliph as we believe on Prophet Muhammad's last sermon he made Ali his successor, "“Whomever I am his Master, then Ali is his Master.” And another proof is, ‘I am leaving behind two things the book of Allah and the Ahlu Bayt (Prophet Muhammad''s family)’. And if it isnt Islam, does that mean that the Prophet Muhammad's descendants are not following Islam even though Prophet Muhammad SAW loved his family and wanted them to succeed after him and theres many hadith to back it.Anyways you can believe what you want but the Prophet said that only one of the 72 sects of islam will go Jannah.

Ashura should and isn’t exclusively for shias. Yes majority of people who commemorate ashura are Shia but it doesn’t have to be like that. It is simply hearing the reality of what happened to the family of the Prophet (may peace be on him). Anyone who loves the prophet should naturally have an interest about the massacre that happened to his family. We cry about how mercilessly they were killed, how Imam Hussein 6month old baby’s was killed with a threeheaded arrow and how the ladies of the household of the prophet were treated after the men were killed. But more deeply and arguably more importantly it’s the lessons we can learn from such tragedy. The idea of standing up for what’s right even when it creates you more Enemies. It’s about standing up for oppression and keeping true to your principles. Even during the battle the narrations of imam Hussein mercy should be something that inspires us to do well in life, to act in a way taht demonstrates morality etc. and that’s why whenever I commemorate ashura I always see at least one non-Muslim in the mosque hearing what happened on that day. So it’s sad to see non-Shia Muslims brother and sisters not commemorating ashura and even worse not even being aware of what happened on that day. Instead non Shia Muslims jump on the beating some do on ashura. The idea that shias beat themselves and cut themselves and walk on fire is false. Majority of shias do not do this only extreme minority of shias do this. I as a Shia muslim do not condone such behaviour. I think it’s wrong and not what we should be doing to ourselves. It’s haram and a innovation. Now when it comes to hitting your chest that’s just a something some people do when they hear and remind themselves of what happened on the battle field. It’s a way for them to feel comfort. They aren’t hurting themselves and nor should they. I personally don’t do it but we shouldn’t talk bad about those who do. As long as they aren’t cutting themselves, walking on fire etc we should let them do what they feel to do. At the end of the day we should educate ourselves about the massacre that happened to the prophets family and importantly learn the lessons from their trials and tribulations.

I completely agree that Muslims should feel sick and upset about the way that the household of the Prophet salalahu alayhi wasallam was butchered.
Nonetheless, the Prophet salalahu alayhi wasallam himself would fast on the day of Ashura and as far as I know, none of the remaining Sahabah nor their successors (at the time of the massacre) used the day of Ashura as nothing more than to honour the victory of Prophet Musa, alayhi wasallam over the oppressive Pharaoh.
*”The Messenger (salallaahu alaihi wassallam) would fast ‘Āshūrā in the days of Jaahiliyyah [before Revelation], and the people of Quraish would also fast it. Later on, when the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) arrived in Madeenah, he found that the Jews were also fasting it.*
*So he asked them concerning it, so they replied: “It is the day on which Allah saved Mūsā and his people, and He destroyed the Pharaoh and his people, so Mūsā fasted it in gratitude to Allaah, so we likewise fast it.” Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “We have more rights with respect to Mūsā and are more deserving of him.”*
*So he (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) fasted and he commanded that it be fasted. So it is a Sunnah (recommended) to fast the Day of ‘Āshūrā (10th Muharram) and it is from the Sunnah to fast the day before it or the day after, due to what is narrated from him (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam), “Fast the day before it and the day after it.”*
*”In a wording there occurs: “A day before it or a day after it.” And in another narration: “If I live till next year, I will surely fast on the ninth,” meaning along with the tenth - and this is best, that a person fasts the tenth because that is a great day, wherein goodness was attained for Mūsā (alaihi salaam) and the Muslims with him, and our Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) fasted that day - so we fast the ninth with our Prophet in acting upon his legislation (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam).*
*And we can fast along with the tenth, the day before it or the day after to differ from the Jews. And the best way is to fast the ninth and the tenth due to the hadeeth: “If I live till next year, I will surely fast the ninth.” So if a person was to fast the tenth and the eleventh, or all three days: the ninth, tenth and eleventh, it is all good - and in that there is a differing from the Jews. And if one was was to fast the month, then that is more virtuous for him.”* End quote - Shaykh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullāh)
      Kind regards…

@@somedude6334 thank you for you’re reply. I totally get what you are saying. At the end of the day different Muslims use different sources to get to their conclusions, but we need to think with an open mind. This is how I see it. If the last prophet on this earth had his entire family murdered brutally would I want to commemorate and champion their cause? My answer would be yes of course. So as a human with free will I commemorate their death. Not because I have been told to but because I feel like it something close to my heart and worth commorating. I would find it very hard, virtually impossible, to celebrate on that day and be happy. But that’s my choice and the choice of many other non-Muslims. How you behave and feel on that day is entirely up to you. At least to be aware of what happened on that day and days leading up to ashura is vital for any Muslims.

    • @mohuss1804
      @mohuss1804 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Adam-hf7hn I disagree with you that it is something vital, commemorating Ashura will not enter you into paradise. What is vital is to learn about Allah ﷻ, worship him according to the Sunnah of Al-Mustafa ﷺ and the understanding of the Sahaba (according to the Quran) - this is what will save us from the Hellfire and enter us into Jannah through Allah’s Rahma.
As you say about different sources, the Quran is agreed upon. Read the Quran and see if Shi’a practices align with the Quran or not - this should be the only means for us to reach our conclusions

The man can't even tell that the people who criticised you for laughing and being disrespectful were in fact siding with Mo Deen instead of having a go at him. Seem like you've made him think that they were having a go at him where the truth is they were having a good at you. One thing your right about it people shouldn't assume he has mental health issues. I don’t agree with a few things Mo Deen does but I think it’s sad with some of the comments made about him insulting him. Just because he’s different doesn’t mean he’s a mental case. I think we should focus on our own character before we delivery judgement on others. People need to be more respectful with comments. May Allah guide us all. Ameen.
