I love the Galt House! It's always been my favorite hotel downtown. By the way St. James is also host to the St. James Court Art Show which features fine arts and crafts from over 600 artists from around the U.S. It's an almost 70 year old tradition now and happens the first weekend of October. I'm not much on soccer but I'm glad to see so many people in the city are into it. The stadium is also home to our NWSL soccer team, Racing Louisville, which is the city's first major league team since the old ABA days (we may still have had the Kentucky Colonels if we haven't sold away Dan Issel to the Nuggets). They look like they are really building a decent fan base there but for the most part we really get behind our University of Louisville Cardinals. Since you went to Churchill Downs you likely saw the football stadium nearby which holds 60,000. The city's main passion though has always been basketball and the Yum! Center downtown holds about 22,000. Thanks for the informative video. You did a great job chronicling your visit.

From a Lou City fan, really enjoyed watching and glad you came to enjoy not only a great, well fought game but also the city and fans as a whole. Rooting for y’all as long as you’re not playing us 😉

I love how you include the sites you were able to see and of course the play by play of the game!

Hi from England. The algorithm suggested your video, I'm glad I clicked on it. I'm really interested in the USL, my family are american though I've grown up in England. I've always been curious about how football (I mean, soccer!) translates to america. I know msl is bigger but I enjoy watching usl matches more. I like the enthusiasm of the fans. Anyway, great video, really professional, I shall follow the switchbacks from now on! Best wishes, Ethan (Brighton and Hove Albion supporter). 🙂

Thank you so much. I’m a fan of EFL as well, specifically Wycombe Wanderers. No particular reason other than we have been following them since early 2000s. Had a chance to attend a live match at Adams Park in September 2023. Hope to come back again soon.
Congrats to Brighton and Hove Albion on a good season last year and maintaining their Premier League status.
Find my SwitchbacksSavvy fan group on Facebook if you want to interact with us on all things related to soccer in the USL. I also have SwitchbacksSavvy accts on X and Instagram. Hope you will follow those.
As my first English soccer fan to engage in my TH-cam channel, I would love to send you a SwitchbacksSavvy scarf. If you would like one, please direct msg me on one of the platforms with your physical address info.
Thanks for supporting the Switchbacks FC and my channel.

@Switchbacks_Savvy Hey there, thanks for the response I'll look you up on the socials. Keep up the great videos. I don't think in my years I've seen Wycombe play but I remember years ago they were non league, so they've been on a great journey. Anyway, best wishes to you, I'll happily send a brighton scarf to you as an exchange! Cheers!
