This sermon explores the parable of the ten virgins found in Matthew 25. There are those in our churches who are wisely waiting for the Lord's coming and there are others who are foolishly unprepared as that great day approaches. Many would love to debate as to what events will take place as we move closer and closer to the end, but it is interesting how the Lord is more interested in our condition than with giving us a chart of events to come.

Revelation 1:20 describes the lampstand as a church. Churches are us - we are the church, therefore, the oil represents what is needed for the person to maintain a testimony (light) of God to the world of which the 5 foolish had compromised just as that church The Lord was warning in Revelation chapt. 2.
