Brutalist is my favourite 👍🏻 good examples from the 60’s & 70’s still stand the test of time today .
@@macsoylu1076 Actually, the inside has sliding glass doors to keep the water out, and I'm sure the angles of the walls are meant to divert the water. Also the courtyard obviously has drainage. He said it's not a courtyard, but it is. He just meant that its as if it were all an open space.

My guess is the Architect already thought of that, the floor inside the courtyard is probably on a slight decline and it meets up with the center fireplace where there would be drains for water to go through. I would say it would be utterly fantastic when it rains viewing the rain from with inside the house.

@@edhead9157 Architecture is more than just the material of a building... if you don't take into consideration light, space , flow, views and what all those things combined with the materials make you feel, you may as well live in an amazon box. I suppose good architecture can only be appreciated by those with some degree of sensibility and understanding of space, form and light... that is why most buildings and houses look the same in the UK, they just serve a basic need of shelter rather than giving people quality of life.

@@eap8317 Most people unfortunately can’t afford to live in pretentious, ugly, concrete boxes and have bigger things to worry about than light, space, flow and views. It is however a shame that the few architects who do design buildings for the wealthy seem to think that adhering to those principles means the exterior of your home should look like a Soviet tractor factory.

Beautiful views with lots of natural landscape that’s soothing on the eyes and the soul. I know, let’s spoil this and build some huge unsympathetic concrete blocks that you can see for miles and will spoil everyone else’s view and enjoyment.
I think I've had enough of dull concrete colour and very square shaped blocks of flats in exYugo where I grew up.

Well George I`ve seen some stunning homes you have been to but mate that was horrific and the sad thing is you trying to big it up to the viewers like an expert saying a painting is exquisite when its just shit
It looks absolutely awful.
The view from inside and the general panorama is lovely. But the house in this landscape completely ruins the view. It’s not always pleasing to contrast your surroundings so harshly.
I think walkers and people going to the sea will look at this and think how much it’s ruining the views.
People want buildings out here to take them away from the city. This just reminds me of ugly apartment buildings from the 60’s. The ones that people are trying to demolish.

Amazed by the amount of negative comments....i love every thing about this house....if you can afford this you probably own lots of the surrounding property so you will not be obstructing someone's view....as to the looks of the building...coming from a sculptor, it is amazing and I think would be a joy to live in....thank you for sharing this possibility...

On closer inspection the concrete finish is of a low standard. I noticed several honeycombed sections. I'm being serious, I've seen a better concrete finish on the flood defence walls in Sheffield.

From what I have seen on other houses such as earth ships etc, concrete absorbs and retains the heat from the sun. Chile is going to be fairly hot and having an open courtyard alone won’t help, hence having a decent set aircon set up..
