She`s such a sweetheart. As an Elvis fan, i`m so happy that her grandfather is represented by Riley. She will protect his legacy with dignity and grace. She will also honor her mothers legacy. It was so sad when we lost Lisa Marie. I`m sure both Elvis and Lisa Marie are looking down from heaven with great pride over what Riley is doing to preserve their memory.

this is really awesome of riley to do this for her mother. she seems very private and she is putting herself out there for her mother. how heartbreaking to lose your brother and mother at such a young age
Riley is very comfortable and confident as an actor. I noticed last year that the family was not a part of interview topics. I bet that was on a publicist instruction to the programs Riley went on. I think it is hard for her to talk about.

The audio book is amazing. Couldn’t stop listening. Heartbreaking really. So many stories and I’m sure thousands were left out. But she said when she felt sad I think after Ben’s death she went to Graceland and slept in her dad’s bed.
«From here to the great unknown» is just a line from the song «Where no one stands alone». Lisa and Elvis did a duet with the song. Elvis sang it, and it was released on his Grammy Award winning album, «How Great Thou Art» (1967)

I wasn`t aware of that. Had Elvis lived, and known about the abuse he would have killed him for what he did to Lisa.. Priscilla was not a very loving mother at all. She cared more about herself.
Yes, it is truly heartbreaking to think about how her mother could betray and hurt someone they were supposed to love and protect. My heart goes out to Lisa Marie.

I bought the audio book last night, and listened from beginning to end. It was VERY well done, but also depressing. I truly hope that Riley, Harper, and Finley are the ones who break that chain of addiction. Kudos to Riley. She did a good job on the book!
As a totally blind child growing up in the 90s Elvis was my first hyper fixation. I traveled all over the United States performing. I had the jumpsuit and everything. A few years ago I went to the house and did the VIP tour. The staff quickly figured out how much I knew, and kicked everyone out and took the ropes down and allowed me to touch his furniture. I often wish that maybe one of them told her about me because that would be really really neat. I wish she had read the audiobook herself because I think that she has one of the best speaking voices in all of film today.

@@anamhirrodriquez2193 I have given the album to several ppl who had never heard of the show and they LOOOOOVED it. It truly is a banger start to finish. The whole cast was fantastic, but of course when the show (and band) is named after "Daisy Jones", you need to have a true star out front, and Riley was exceptional.

Highly recommend listening to this book, Julia is amazing, and Riley allows us to hear lisa maries voice as well. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

I sure hope she can break her mom's depression. Riley appears to be doing really well considering all she's been through. Hope it's true and not an act.

Edit: I think that’s a beautiful title as someone who carried the mantle of Elvis Presley’s legacy. It’s how we knew her.
I miss her mom - Lisa’s presence felt like we got to still have a piece of Elvis around, I think she had a lot of his spirit.

I saw videos of MJ with Lisa and her kids.. he was an incredible stepfather, not just “normal”. He did his best to make the kids happy, they adored him and would wait for him at the door as he came back from work at the studio.. he would always bring them something. I wish she could be more open and share more. But I’m sure, after that fake documentary LN, her marketing team has told her not to say much.

@@merricat3025 yes and basically LM was raised by Nannies. In a another book by Joyce Bova, Elvis girlfriend in early 70s, she says Elvis told her Priscilla was cold and mean spirited. LM also confirms that in her memoir. LM hated Priscilla.

In another interview, her one with Seth Meyers, that I watched before watching this one, she talked about spending 7 hours recording the audio book. Yet, here, they played a clip from the audio book and it was recorded by Julia Roberts. Were two audio books recorded?

Priscilla did throw him out. Statute of limitations are expired. It is alleged and people are innocent until proven guilty.

@@merricat3025 a model priscilla dated after Elvis. He had a weird fixation on Lisa when she was a teen and would sit in her bedroom while she was sleeping. There are other details that are too graphic and sad to share here... but it's all in Lisa's book. Michael Edwards also wrote a book in the 80s and he admits to falling in love with her and other things.

Despite all the hoopla, Riley Keough does not fully control/own Graceland. Graceland is its own corporation that was arranged by Priscilla Presley to prevent it from being destroyed and become a multi-house community.
Riley does fully own Graceland, the house and the land. The corporation is separate from that which runs the tours, and does own all the extra stuff like the resort across the street and the museum which is not on Graceland property. Riley and her sisters only own a small portion of that.
