nice playing dude! i would say mark's right hand is a lot more aggressive when playing, so to make it really pop and growl; treat the strings like a bully and hit them hard.
@@ogcantu90 if you are using any DAWs, then BOD by TSE audio is a clone of tech 21s bass driver DI (Which mimics tube amps like ampeg extremely well) its a free plug in too! thats what i use to turn the bite up a bit to really get that tube sound that mark uses a ton. scoop the mid too when you are messing around, but this tone sounds great! id say boost your low end, cut out mids almost entirely and boost your highs + presence or "bright" and youll be RIGHT on the money for his sound.
@@thiccnicc9835 Thanks for the advice! I have been using the BOD plugin for my Rush covers, but I hadn't thought of using it to get Mark's tone. I'll try it out, though.
Day 1 is enough. He heard you. He even responded. Anything after that is super disrespectful. He'll do it or he won't. But as a general statement, NO creator needs ANY comment like this. You ask once, and only once. That's it.
@@camannwordsmith True. The amount of disrespect from the kids these days is unfathomable. I am livid that the youtube comments sections are grotesque abominations representing what use to be a great human race. What have we come to that we have to wade through such filth, and to be frank it is down right harassment. In no reasonable world does a creator deserve this treatment. The question is, For Whom Does the Bell Toll? This is a question...a question that leads me to think, does the bell toll for the creator or the consumer of this digital media in the form of sick bass covers? Only time will tell. Does the creator stoop to the desires of the leeches and produce what they so desperately desire? Or does the creator choose to create the content they personally enjoy? For Whom the Bell Tolls...Time will tell. I will be watching this exchange closely.
Nice sound

@mrcreepyDJ Thanks for the feedback! I'll try that on my next blink cover.
@ogcantu90 the growl he gets out of it is the reason I started playing bass :)

Day 1 of asking you to cover For Whom the Bell Tolls

Your pickup is a Squier Original or you changed for a Seymour Duncan Quarterpound?
I swapped out the pickups for the Quarterpound PJ set. I only use the split-coil in my blink covers, though.
