Lilly Cofell They got rid of it because it basically stopped working and without the water effects it really shows it's just a carnival ride and cedar fair typically tries to remove all their flat rides that become common in carnival and replace them with innovative flat rides, but in the end they really could have kept it if they wanted to considering hangtime doesn't really take that much room there
Lilly Cofell the first day it opened my cousin and I had went on it, the over the shoulder restraint ended up coming undone. My cousin and some guy had to hold it down so I wouldn’t fly out. After that I never went back on it. I ended up with busted lip and a sprained hand
This has been one of my favorite rides there! Me and my friend were able to go on it constantly because there was no line and we were completely soaked. I remember sitting on the side that faced the wall, and at 0:54 the wall of water shoots STRAIGHT UP AT YOU if your on that side. I remember thinking, "lol, at least we're not the ones getting soaked at this poi- WTF?!?!?!"
I love it when they have the ride interact with the guest offride like when they threw the water at the kids I found it funny and it would be lots of fun
I seem to remember that when we went to Fiesta Texas there was a ride like this(minus the water) and my husband who is 6'2 260 got off complaining that his balls were being crushed! I loved it though... the ride and him getting his balls crushed! lol ;o)
We have one of these at Lagoon!!! I was standing next to the fence and the ride spit water at me and my Two friends. And we got soaked. I cussed by accident!!!
When youre looking at this ride from the ground its like "oh this is gonna be sick!" and when youre on it, you feel like your neck is gonna break and you just wish it was over already..

It was removed a while ago. Boomerang was also demolished to make room for a new custom coaster called HangTime (its station will be approximately where this used to be).
i went on this yesterday and it was scary fun, but that triangle part between your legs kinda hurt me somewhere when it was spinning ,but overall i had fun :D
+AiraySickle Yeah, sadly. The ride was having a bunch of technical difficulties and was closed more than it was open, so they demolished it this year. There's some construction going on where it once stood right now though, hopefully they build another awesome ride!

Making a comment in 2021. When both Boomerang and Riptide are gone, and Hang Time is now all the fuss now. Just know some of your comments were made when I was a newborn. When I was in the line waiting to get on I was like OMFG that looks scary and when I was actually on the ride I didn't even know were I was and I was laughing and when I got off I was like WTF that was painful and boringO_o
Love this amazing attraction and completely agree with asianninjasrock101 lol it does hurt i learned how to lock it to where it does not crush you sack so the attraction is pleasent and very fun haha. The reason they turned off the water was because plumming issues and complaints they dont turn the water on doing the summer becuase i went all during summer in 2010 and it didnt turn the water on at all but i did go on perilous plunge 9 times and got drenched then i went in that heater tinging hah

@childmolester13 Nope it hasnt opened up yet. im not sure when it will though. i went to knotts today and saw some engineers working on it so it might be a little while.

Replaced by hangtime after closing in 2016 and hangtime opened in 2018
It looks and sounds like a torture scene. When the ride swings manicly the people riding it look like dolls being thrown around lol
what i love about it is that people get worried if your soking wet after but when you spin around it dries you off
Getting rid of a typical flat ride and a typical roller coaster for hangtime was definitely an improvement
