Fallacy = "monsoon has raised the lake level 4 feet." Fact = Outflows being cut 2/3rds over the last 6 weeks are what has caused the lake to rise. Before 6 weeks ago, the inflows were half of the outflows. If the outflows from 6 weeks ago remained exactly the same to this point, the monsoon would contribute about 6 inches of lake rise. I really wish people would stop engaging in fallacies as to why the lake has risen 4 feet - outflows cut by 2/3rds is why. Conclusion - increased inflows (barely) from monsoon but more importantly, decreased outflows (cut 2/3rds) is the primary reason for lake level rise, NOT THE MONSOON.
"A lot more is going to be needed to offset the losses ..." Baloney! There's only one thing that's needed: limit the outflow. Problem solved. Those people downstream will figure it out quickly what to do.
Rain has not been the main cause for the raise, lake Havasu is at full pull, lake Mohave is at full pool therefore the USBR has not releasing water down river to those two lakes. This will last temporarily unless we get good snow pack in Colorado.
The emptied the reservoirs in preparation for the oncoming monsoon season and the extreme winter semi ice age we're about to have I think so that all that snow melt would have somewhere to go and not over compromise and overwhelmed the reservoirs
Our population is so big and I really don't see any hope for the Colorado as it stands now. California has to wise up and start thinking there's a big ocean out there and I think they're going to have to start using it
For whatever reason, someone is intentionally blocking washes in the Millet Swale watershed, southeast of Snowflake, Arizona. Doing so raises the local barometric pressure and the pressure in all connected washes, creeks, rivers, etc., throughout the Colorado River Basin. For example, increasing the pressure in Millet Swale increases the pressure in Silver Creek, Little Colorado River, Colorado River and all connected rivers and tributaries and adjacent surfaces. This Thursday, the mean sea level barometric pressure in my yard was 1034mbar. That's higher than every weather station in the region. I am at 6,000 feet. The pressure should be much lower. Today, due to various improvements and possibly the removal of some blockages in one or more local washes, the pressure dropped to 1025mbar, so that's progress. High pressure entails higher temperatures, and high pressure and temperature inhibit precipitation. It is a man-made disaster. I have tried to stop it. I have tried advising authorities. I have tried to bring it to public attention. I don't know what else to do to get someone to listen and take action.
Little levee dams that a person makes isn't going to divert the amount of water that is needed. You can't blame all the missing water on what you claim. Go get mental health! What the fck, get some help.
@@AKFF320 It isn't about diverting water. It's about heat, pressure, airflow and atmospheric circulation. Tires in washes are code violations for a very good reason. Tires in direct sunlight collect a lot of heat and get hot. Blocking airflow in one wash puts excess pressure on all of the connected tributaries and adjacent surfaces. Blocking airflow in more washes adds more pressure. Excess heat is forced into the ground, and the heat travels thru the ground. The ground gets hot, and advection increases atmospheric temperatures and pressures. Before you know it, you have a ridge. A ridge blocks air circulation. Have a heatwave. Blocking enough airflow creates a disaster. Take an Earth Science class, and maybe try to learn something, instead of being an armchair quarterback who knows nothing about it.
@@jackpanella3285 Prove the claims you are making. Arm chairing is EXACTLY what you are doing. Get out there, make peer-reviewable observations. "For whatever reason, someone is intentionally blocking washes in the Millet Swale watershed, southeast of Snowflake, Arizona." ,, You need to PROVE THAT for starters. Without that proof, everything else you say can and should be ignored.
@@delweine There are tires, dead wood and other debris, in every wash in the neighborhood. Despite my efforts to clean up the dead wood and other debris in my yard and the neighborhood, someone keeps replacing what I have removed. Much of this dead wood is too large to be carried by the wind, and there hasn't been a severe enough storm to move the dead wood uphill. Furthermore, there is no identifiable source that explains the appearance of much of the debris. The weather isn't moving it. Animals aren't moving it. My 43-acre yard has been vandalized from top to bottom. This is being done intentionally. I have watched the barometric pressure. The pressure goes down when I clean up the messes. The pressure goes up when the messes reappear. I have been watching the situation for ten years. When I made improvements in my yard or the neighborhood the precipitation was above average. When the pressure was increased thru compensation for my improvements the precipitation was below average. Despite the ongoing resistance to my efforts, the five-year average precipitation and the seven-year average precipitation have increased. Years for which the precipitation was far below average correlate to specific actions by the perpetrators. The local environment has been rehabilitated. Neighbors have told me that they have never seen it so green. The data is in local precipitation records. The problem is right there in weather charts. The barometric pressures in the region are unnaturally high, and my yard has the highest barometric pressure in the region. Any pilot who flies over me can see it, and many commercial airplanes record the data and send it to the National Weather Service to aid forecasting. There is heavy traffic above me, including commercial traffic, so the data will be there. The evolution of the situation is documented in historical satellite photographs. In fact, even during years of insufficient precipitation, satellite photographs show that my yard did well, but the adjacent property that is owned by the perpetrators suffered severe erosion. There is other evidence of intentional neglect of the property, and there is evidence of spevific artificial devices that were used to manipulate the airflow in specific washes. Local pilots can attest to what I have done to the area, even though I haven't met any of them personally. And if I prove it to you or any other TH-cam quarterback, what can you do to help? I have tried to reach appropriate authorities, to no avail, but I dont know how to communicate it more effectively, because it is simple Earth Science. Must I really write a peer-reviewed paper for there to be any corrective action? Everyone drones on and on about Climate Change, but nobody seems to be willing to fix very obvious problems that are right in front of them.
@@delweine Put a space heater in front of the air-conditioning vent for the living room, with the heater output facing the vent, and then check the vents in the other rooms of the house. Couple with the tires and other debris in the washes here, that's some very solid evidence of what is happening in the Southwest.
Cloud seeding Release silver iodide particles from below the cloud base. we did it in Vietnam we extended the monsoon season by modifying the weather to rain. They do it in Dubai. We’ve known how to control the weather since the 60’s research everything it’s no conspiracy theory.
Either start desalinating to fill up the reservoir/lake Or fill the reservoir/lake with salt water and have everybody get filters for their salt water, There Problem solved... No more drought
1) Desalination is expensive and produces tonnes of brine. 2) It is even more impractical to pump salt water to Lake Mead and desalinate the water there. Salt water is corrosive so pipes and pumps wouldn't last long. 3) Then there's the cost of pumping. water to a higher elevation hundreds of miles. 4) A fresh water lake would never be converted to salt water for numerous more reasons. So you see, problem not solved!
Rain? Problem solved. Where's my 50.000000 dollar check? Would like to think that's kind of obvious. Rain 🌧 = water. No rain = drought gawd dam did no one go to grade school out west?
Actually California is the primary reason for water waste and low levels. 3 States fight over water. California holdind the highest percentage of control. Colorado river maintains it periodically
What a waste of Video time. The dumbing down of America at its finest. Why did the bathtub fill up boys and girls oh I dont know maybe someone turned the faucet on and put a stopper in the drain.

None of this matters.
What gains have been made are a bsndaid.
The Southwest was not meant to have huge populations.
It will not end well .
the 'drought' is contrived.

You can’t run a power plant with limited outflow dummy.
Who cares!
Yea. They can just quit growing food.
Mother nature is healing herself? Wow who would have known.🤦♂️
Mother nature healing herself would be the dam failing and water flowing into the canyon again.
Didn’t watch the whole video did you?
Desalination plants in California would help greatly if they don't already have them.
And the millions of gallons used in almond growing and vineyards

i’ve been praying that full back up too the top pray about it everyday i’m going to keep praying 🙏
Yeah, keep praying. I’ll keep advocating for people to be smarter with water. Guess which one of us will be more effective?
Thoughts and prayers may we'll work for shooting victims, filling reservoirs and river flow needs a smarter approach.
Stop all landscaping and stop watering the desert golf courses and you will see more water in the lake.
You sound like a genius sam.
Bingo
Thanks God for the rain!
Good lawd! There are so many things wrong with this presentation, I don't know where to start!
Go Lake Mead!
Blow the dam, let freedom live, and to see who and what else is in the bottom of lake mead.
Wow 3 feet of water all the problems is over 🤣🤣🤣
No water cuts for California so don't expect any changes in the lake
The good guys are in charge!
Wow! Video was just long enough to sneak in some commercials.

You need to study Hydrological equations in which evapotransporation is not that big of a factor

ON POINT
Well the 700k+ acre water drain in the spring didn't help the water level because of incompetent "guess" on snow pack...
If the rain doesn't coming in the Winter...it WILL come in the summer.
The rainy season... in July... 🤪
Prob end of the growing season so water not being used for irrigation
It's flushing toilets in the visitor centres
JR
You fucking nailed it bro 👏
Raining isn't enough!! Vegas population is getting bigger!! Lake mead should install solar panel to reduce evaporation
Cloud seeding.

Mississippi flood water can help refill the lake Mead.
Need to contact a Chinese company to build the canal for water transfer.
It's all rigged man. California is doomed. The west is doomed. The whole southwest is a sacrifice zone for the weather manipulators!!
It had to go somewhere it just don’t disappear 💯%fact
Very hot over the ocean so you got vapor.
Still in megadrought.

Pump the water from Pakistan , a 3rd of their country is under.

All lies. The lake is going dry.
What do you expect when you build cities in the desert?? Suck all the water from one resource and a drought hits. Your going to lose water.
False reporting
The Clintons dont want the lake to get too low :)
Is there a fake reason lake mead is rising???
