@@lockvalleyfarms981 In the last couple of weeks, and yes, I was surprised myself when I found out. We have had a some decent drying out days since too.
Henry, have a look at Jackson Brothers channel, I’m pretty sure they are just using lifting slings, but they have done some farmer destructive type testing with the D11’s and straps! Makes for good viewing
I have to yank them rope myself and I live in Richmond Virginia it's awesome little pricey but when you're stuck having some point out it gets expensive Grandpa used to say having the right tool makes everything easier get that Yankee road you won't look back 🇺🇸🚜
You have got to be careful with those chains, there was an accident in NSW near where we are where the chain snapped and got launched into the back of the tractor cab and killed a bloke. We use a snatch rope/kinetic rope that is about 15cm in diameter which works good
When you do eventually order a agricultural snapstrap , just remember that the biggest D shackle for attaching are about 20 tonne, so no need to go bigger than a 50 tonne strap. A lot of farmers buy 100 tonne straps , only to find that their weakest point is the shackle. Good luck
Henry, check out the Black Snake recovery straps, they range between about 20t up to about 100t. Have used these type of straps on construction and mine sites in the past.
Bogged, know the feeling, Chains are not allowed where I worked, if they break, links become missiles, Seen it happen several times, There was an accident in Qld , Cat , full track pulling out a bogged tractor with chain , link went through back window nearly killing driver , So best buy large straps which are available in Australia, So much rain for yous, Cheers Bevan Sapphire Central Queensland 🤠🦘🇦🇺
Jackson brothers farm Australia youtube channel have a couple of vids using snatch straps with D11 dozers (and other equipment). You may need to message and ask them the brands.
Nice 👌
We have had 2 1/2 inches of rain here at Crystal Brook.

Hydrostatic drives are a problem in the wet, they give at the first sign of trouble

That’s very wet for dry country. But still dryer than everywhere else. Country does look great. Hope it dries out for harvest.
We are right on our 450mm average at the moment. Most of that has come in the last 3 months. Next week will tip us over.
We just use crane/lifting? straps as they can be used for alot of things and i think we got ours in agfert balaklava if i can remember

Exactly why I want a strap 👍

Good advice, thanks
I've got a Saber kinetic rope, actually from Aus, not sure if they will have a size you want. Worth a look?

When you say “we got it stuck” who was actually driving
That would be me 👋 (Henry)
Havest is only weeks away. Bogging headers is not fun. They sink real quick. I wish ya luck with harvest.
