I'm glad you caught the bird. Poor thing. That was quite the storm! Living in a flood plain, we get water in the yard at least once a year. No monsoons, though.
@heidiwelling5810 out here we get maybe 8 inches a year. But not for years. I've been so careful with water. Bird will be back with mom n dad. It was trying to fly this morning.
