Hi, I am going on exchange in 2 months or so, so I know a bit about getting started with it. What I did was I first talked with my parents about what their opinions about me going on exchange were and if they would be willing to support it. Then, I worked with them to figure out the costs and to make sure it could be covered. Then, the next most important thing is talking to your school and seeing what you are able to do as far as credits go. Since I am going for a year long exchange, I had to make sure that I would be able to get all of the credits I needed so that I didn't graduate late, because my school is not giving me credits for my time abroad. Next, you do some research on which program you would like to go with, which there quite a few but some applications may be closed or limited due to covid. Then, you apply to the program you would like to go with and go from there!
