- Today's adventure in Vietnam took a surprising twist when a Vietnamese aunty tried to set me up with her daughter! As I set out to explore Dalat to eat the famous food this city is known for, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing hospitality of all the locals here.

Nice of you to continue the small talk with the Aunty, she is obviously proud of her daughter studying in Korea, repeating "Korea" 4-5 times. The chef girl would probably have been a more sensible, down-to-earth choice than choosing somebody chasing distant stars in "Co Ria."

Her daughter learn the korean way, lot of plastic surgery and makeup to make them look good.
The girl who is selling the food was definitely interested, can see it in her eyes.
She's not bad too, looks kind and lovely without makeup.

@@davidkhai understand your perspective, however i am simply just educating you on how vietnamese people are. they may not have wanted to waste it, but when someone offers you something, you should take the whole thing and not just take a bite and return it, this is more frowned upon than you think. if you do not want to take the lesson and keep to your ways, thats fine too. i am just telling you how it is.

That banh can looks similar to "surabi" here in West Java, Indonesia. But, yeah, of course we don't eat them with some pork soup 😂 There are the savory version and the sweet version.
Anw, I'm not sure how's in Australia or Vietnam, but I don't think you should give back the corn you just bit. If you bite it, then you should take the whole corn. Just my two cents, but that's okay, probably it's just me.

The first time I was in Da Lat with my wife, she took me into the market place and we had something similar but we dipped it into I think fish sauce that had a lot of green onions in it.
David. Da Lat appeals most to Saigonese because in Saigon it is so hot, Da Lat weather tends to be cooler. Da Lat is hilly , There are alot of pine trees there. resembling to area has temperate region. Do you bring macadamia nut and Vegemite to Vietnam yet?

I think the point is , David was offered the corn, it’s actually rude if he insisted on not having it but he was also not hungry at that time (he mentioned earlier ), so he bite and returned the rest. It’s even more rude if he offered to pay them back. Isn’t it?

The Vietnamese who died in the 1970's and 1980's did not live to see how beautiful and peaceful Vietnam has become today. As a kid in the late 1960's I have seen US airplanes take off from Mactan Airbase in the Philippines and though we don't know where they were going we just assumed they were all going to Vietnam. The pictures from News papers shows a countryside ravaged by war and later some cities and towns were also ruined. But today Vietnam has grown even more beautiful than the Philippines in some areas when it used to be ruins during the mid 1970's fall of Saigon and battle of Hue. In the 80's a frail thin malnourished Vietnamese man was peddling all kinds of stuff in Siquijor Philippines. He was residing in Palawan refugee camp waiting to go to USA. I don't know what happened to him. I hope he live to see how beautiful Vietnam has become today.
