God, i love every single part of this godforsaken game, its incredibly fun, fair and challeging, is eye-candy too look at and even catchy as hell music. This masterpiece of a game is way too underrated in my opinion.
Imagine the perspective of an enemy in this level. You're just standing there as you hear this music steadily getting louder. Eventually you see Rayman in the distance as the music gets louder. You then stand up to face, shout one of the gibberish lyrics, get smacked in the face and fall down as the music then steadily grows faint.
My god...I remember that I played this without knowing what the actual hell Black Betty was. It wasn't until much later while watching a TV show with my family that included this song did I know it and it surprised me quite a lot knowing that this was a parody.
I was absolutely taken by surprise when I first played this level in Rayman Legends. This might be because it's also the first one I did, but this is defenitly my favourite music level
I love how much love they put into this masterpiece of a game. Was it really necessary for them to put so much effort into creating these levels in order to reference musical culture? No, but they did it anyway

But in 2017, when my father took me to high school, Black Betty by Ram Jam was playing on the radio, and i was like "wait a minute, i think i’ve heard that song before" and realized i heard it on Rayman Legends, thus began a hyperfixation on 70s rock 😅

when i was little i had this game on the xbox 360 (and its the first and only rayman game ive played) and i remember just playing this level hundreds of times because i loved the song. i had the full game and i dont think i ever made it past the second level because i had no intrest in doing so as i just kept playing this level. the music is a banger i do have to say.
