Hope I covered everything...if not please comment and I'll get back to you asap! 💯😀
Great video, I’ll get the one with the integrated camera 💪🏻
@@AtHomewithLucas First impressions are good. I have this monitor on a height adjustable table and from time to time the screen gets very shaky, but I can live with it. I kinda knew this by watching you video, so it wasn't that big a surprise for me :)
The resolution is fine, but for office use it can wear out you eyes pretty quickly. I'd like to try the Samsung View Finity 9 with 4K resolution and see if it's any better, but this will do for now.
Camera is going to have its first test tomorrow, but I'm confident that it will be just fine!
Oh yeah hopefully it works. But 4k will be easier on the eyes for sure.
Appart from the curved screen and usb-c, does this have any meaningful difference over the viewfinity s5 from last year?
Great question...the S6 stand is 100% better. You can move it all over the place. The contrast is better on the S6 4000:1 vs S5 3000:1 and maybe a slight image quality boost on the S6.
Hi Lucas, I am doing mostly spreadsheets and I would not want to see blurs around texts and numbers. Is the resolution good? Thanks!
Great question. Yes, the text is very crisp and clear with no blurring. 💯😀
Pretty good video but way too much fluff at the beginning. I almost clicked away, but wanted to give you another shot.
I'm always trying new things with my videos. The longer more information filled intro is my current attempt.
@@AtHomewithLucas I think experimentation is certainly a good thing, but you may fair better jumping into the meat and potatoes of the video. Just my two cents, but kudos to you for making content. Keep going.
Yeah I'm just now filling the intros will loads of product and haven't really thought about time. I can definitely make them faster once I focus on editing the intro so they are more snappy. Thanks 😀
*For shooter games like COD, would you say the experience is great among other 100hz you've tested before? I'm thinking of getting the 32" version for productivity then gaming in the side*
Don't go 32" get a 34" you will love it. It really is the future of monitors. But yes, Samsung makes a very smooth 100hz monitor. Other monitors are just not as smooth at only 100hz.
Hi. There its a good review, i was looking. For a review on this model wich is the basic S6, im thinking to get it to conect a laptop, but my question is on the usbc-c conection, does it support video and charge over usb-c or or just data,? This is one of my big concerns, cause the next S6 has thurderbolt conection but is way mlre expensive!, thanks in advance !!!
Yes the S6 usb-c port sends out 90w of power to charge a laptop easy.
Hey Lucas. Awesome review! Just curiously, I was wondering how this screen compares to the Samsung Odyssey G5 34" Curved Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor (took a look see at your review on this screen as well). With Samsung's EDU/EPP discounts applied, there's only a 10$ difference between the two, and I would like your opinion on which screen is ultimately better. Thanks!
@AtHomewithLucas Darn I'm having buyers remorse. Could you help me understand better why the Odessy is your recommendation here? I'm struggling to see how the odessy isn't the same monitor but with better Hrz. Any pros for the Viewfinity?
@White0ni let me say yes the ViewFinity S6 is a perfect monitor. But the Odyssey is better if you game or not. What makes a great gaming monitor also translates to a great daily monitor. If you can afford the Odyssey buy it. You won't regret it. What you get is a better display panel. Better colors and blacks with a faster refresh rate, which is good for all aspects of computing. Not to mention, it has a better stand.
Hi Lucas. Would you choose to work on other 4K monitor or Viewfinity s6? (Not 4K)
Great question. Yeah I'm really interested in 4k but I think for now the S6 gives me everything I need.
Hello. I am planning to buy this but my table’s dimensions are quite small (100x55cm). Do you think it would be overwhelming given the depth of my desk and the size of the monitor? Thank you
Hi Lucas, I cannot find an IPS version of the S6. All of these say that they are VA, please clarify:
I have checked all 3 models on the samsung website and they are all VA, i tried posting the links here but my comments do not go through with links.
Hey so IPS monitor panels typically serve as compact flatscreens - like Samsung's 24-inch S40UA - while VA panels are widely adopted for curved monitors, like Samsung's 49-inch S95UA. Both panel technologies provide numerous benefits across all use cases and industries.
@AtHomewithLucas thanks for the feedback, i saw somewhere that it was IPS, but i was confused. Appreciate the response.
Whats the difference between the Odyssey an ViewFinity series?
Great question the Odyssey is more for gaming so it will have settings to maximize gaming. Please more features to make gaming better.
Is the 99 hz with HDMI connection? or type c, display port? , i have only HDMI
If you have HDMI 2.1, the latest version of the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) standard, has a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz at 4K resolution and 240 Hz at 1080p.
is the ethernet speed gigabit or only 100mbps?
The monitor Ethernet port has speeds up to 1 gigabit per second. 💯😀
Hi Lucas, to access steam and to browse the web, Do I need to have another laptop?
Will any type of gaming pc work for this?
This has usb-c, Display Port and hdmi, so it will work with any pc 💯😀
Can you plug your keyboard and mouse into the back i cant figure mine out I just bought this one and i have a MacBook air m2 and an hp laptop HELP please 🙏
Plug the provided usb cable into your laptop ot MacBook then plug the keyboard and mouse into the monitor.
@@AtHomewithLucas I cant seem to get my keyboard and mouse to connect so I can use them both on the spilt screen kvm'd display of my MacBook on one side and hp laptop on the other. I have both video displays up side by side but every USB port on the back of the monitor doesn't seem to register the keyboard and or mouse? any thoughts?
@BRYANFULTON so you're trying to do pip one mac and one pc? And you want to only use one mouse/keyboard for both computers?
As this is not a gaming monitor, 100hz is enough for most people.
This was a valuable review for me. While other monitor reviews focus on gaming, I want a working monitor for other purposes. You did a great job of covering my interests. Thank you.
Hey thanks for the great feedback. 💯😁
