I must say all these episodes were excellent in my opinion.. Only a few themes etc annoyed me over the whole series, eg I found the Marcel stuff tedious and repetitive altho it was funny at times.. Just personal preference.. But looking for the worst episodes seems a very negative way of looking at such an excellent series!

I love the show so anything below does not detract from that. Friends had some bad episodes and some bad storylines. To say all 236 episodes were amazing is just hyperbole. My opinion: Anything Joey/Rachel was tough to watch Although I love Phoebe, her character was much better as a supplemental character. When the storyline revolved around Phoebe the show lost a step. As a supplemental character she was terrific and necessary. She also provided some of the funniest moments. Mike - Phoebe's boyfriend was not a good fit on the show. These are 6 characters that are an extreme of their base personality that would not be accepted as a friend in real life for most. Its the extremes that make it funny: Joey is incredibly stupid - funny yes but cmon. Joey going after Rachel in any manner ...not good. Phoebe is over the top strange - Monica - who - in my opinion - is the worst human being on the show - is over the top controlling, liar, and devious even to her friends Chandler - over the top sarcastic - which in my opinion is the closest character to reality Ross - whiney and crazy personality fluctuations from adult to child Rachel - incredibly self centered, spoiled, and sorta treats Ross like a puppet. Again these extremes may not be accepted in someones real life but for a comedy show extremes make it funny.
Personally there are no worst episodes,,,the actors gave their 100%,may be the storyline,,the plot of some episodes be not that good but" worst "is just exaggeration.
Friends was a well written show that there was no bad episodes. The genuine critiques I have with the show is overall based on the series as a whole, lack of continuity and character development, and the laugh-track based comedy. Which is why it would not be an overall perfect show nowadays but it was amazing for the time.

Disney Land is somewhere in California. Friends mention Disney Land in 3 separate episodes. Drives me insane. Traveling to California from New York, fine. But (in show) would probably be cheaper if they flew to Disney World. Ya know, right down the coast and not cross country. The other thing(s) was Las Vegas being a short flight from NYC. What caught my attention was when Chandler began working in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He told Joey it takes him 3 hours to fly to Tulsa and 3 hours to fly back to [NYC] home. That was the episode where Joey thought Monica was cheating. Yes, I know I need a life. These writers’ mistakes absolutely drive me insane. Although little. Do they not know geography? Have they never looked at a map? Or did they believe us viewers would just dumbly say Okay. Ross and Chandler were in college on East Coast but went to Disney Land in California rather than Disney World in Florida. I believe that’s the one with Tacos
The ones with dumb storylines are usually well performed by the actors. For example the Rachel and Joey storyline is bad, but the 'Ross is Fine' episode is probably David Schwimmers funniest performance. The shark porn plot is also dumb, but Monica putting sharks on to get Chandler in the mood is hilarious.
In my opinion, all those episodes with Susan mocking Ross for being angry that she stealed his wife are horrible, all those with the monkey are not the best either, and the one with the stolen credit card, I didn't like Phoebe's attitude toward Ross and Chandler, at times, so demeaning...but not all the episodes in a series are good. It is normal that what I don't like, other people like.
the people remembering/getting their names wrong was never a good joke and they repeated it so many times. Ross' and Monica's parents remembering Chandler's name wrong didn't even make the slightest sense because few seasons before they hated Chandler by name because they thought he was the one who smoked weed in Ross' room. These wrong name episodes and the one with the spitting actor before Chandler & Monica's wedding and the one with the coffee house bullies were so bad i just skip them now for good. besides them some forced jokes there and there but still Friends was just mind blowingly good series. easily the best comedy tv show ever written, no other show comes even close.

I noticed most of these episodes are recaps from previous episodes. That explained it better.
