Walt Disney World Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island - May 28, 1992

The Adventurers Club was a special place for many WDW fans. The combination of a night out, adventure, theater and fun all connected to make a very unique experience. As we have seen over the years, it is probably one of the most missed places from Pleasure Island since the closing. We have seen tributes over the years and throwback drinks, but nothing will take you back like a video.
The video we have here is from May 28,1992 with the club being about three years old. We take you around the facility giving you some interaction and also some small aspects of the show. This particular video was shot on 8mm video.

I stopped by here with my parents when I was probably 8. It was a packed night and we were only able to peek in. I was a lot shorter than everyone else (being 8) so I couldn't see much. My dad told me later that there was a giant talking head and I've wondered what it looked like for over thirty years. Thank you!

My wife and I use to frequent this place every time we went to Disney. Never ever did we not enjoy ourselves. Really sad it closed up, but nothing ever good lasts. At least we still have a (Coconut) Monkey carving that held the "Tropical Rain Forest" drink. That says "Have Fun"....and we did...so many fun times there.

A lot of the props from the Adventurers Club are now part of Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland.

I think that maybe Universal opening up City Walk sounded the death knell for Pleasure island . Sad
