My daughter and I were visiting my sister in Langenschwartz and she took us to a concert in Fulda by this band, my daughter and I fell in LOVE with them! We got to meet them afterward and take pictures with them and then tell them that we were from Minnesota there to see them, they were so nice to us! I can't get enough of this FABULOUS band...rock on Subway To Sally! They have become my favorite band and I listen to them all of the time and hope to get back to Germany soon to attend another one of their concerts! I have a secret dream of playing my cello with them some day! :-)
Was man sich immer vor Augen führen sollte, bevor man sich in negativer Kritik übt, sind folgende zwei Dinge: 1. es ist ein Live-Album und keine Studioversion und 2. arbeiten Subway To Sally offensichtlich nach wie vor daran, sich stets weiterzuentwickeln. Wie man diese Entwicklung bewertet, ist jedem selbst überlassen, ab Kreuzfeuer war ich jedenfalls raus - alles davor aber oberste Sahne. Das NEON-Album ist das erste Album seit beinahe sieben Jahren, was mich tatsächlich wieder aus der Reserve lockt. Bin mal gespannt, ob sie das weiterführen und eventuell auch mal Studioaufnahmen dazu anleiern ;)

I suggest you also look for the original versions. The albums MCMXCV, Foppt den Dämon and Bannkreis are epic to me. This albums were a major step for this genre.
Ich dachte immer das Lied handelt von einem Herrscher, der einen Erben gebären will, um seine Dynastie weiterzuführen. Ich wäre nie darauf gekommen, dass es um jemanden geht der sein Aids übertragen will. So oder so mega Lied!
Nein, es geht um die Zeugung eines Kindes. Ich weiß nicht wer mit dem Thema AIDS angefangen hat, aber wenn man es mit dem Thema "Gene weitergeben" im Hinterkopf interpretiert geht es um (von ihrer Seite ungewollte) Kindeszeugung. Daher auch "Die Hoffnung die mir bleibt" - > neues Leben.
