    White Vinegar will remove the mineral stains on the glass. If cleaned regularly at every water change with white vinegar you'll never get mineral water stains on your glass. Wait for the white vinegar to evaporate (happens quickly) before refilling. Don't spill it in the aquarium water.

    @GeorgeFarmer Any plans on doing a aquascape with tall plants like Cabomba Caroliniana or Vallisneria?

    As much as you might think it's bad publicity, if you did a workshop on a setup just like this one but priced it out while you went along, I bet people would appreciate that.

    Why are the in and outlet in the front and not in the back?

      If they were at the back the flow would damage the stems

    Hi George this is Peter, from Singapore. Apologies for the time difference. Lately I've been so fascinated by planted tanks and intend to try out it out. Could kindly advise if I were to start out with a 30cm cube tank what are the things I need to be successful?
    1) Tank 30cm cube
    thick ideal?
    2) What are the basic
    minimum layer/s of
    Substrate/aqua soil/
    gravels I need for
    the tank to start
    planting.
    3) Inted to use co2 but very basic Ista or Tropica disposable types.
    4) What type of Led would you recommend and hang on back filter good enough.
    Think I've asked too many questions. So will stop here for now.
    Appreciate your valuable time. Hear from you. Thanks and Regards.

    • @omaryavart.4749
      @omaryavart.4749 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should have used soil instead of sand or if you can't change sand you should try epiphytes.

      Love this video! Very helpful. The Aquarium Gardens store is amazing; wish it were here in the US! Do you have any recommendations for US stores? I am in contact with a wonderful guy, Kyle, of Pixel Wave, who sells Tropica plants, in the beautiful mountains near Los Angeles.

    I am a very big fan of George Farmer. I’d be very happy if you had edited the video and uploaded 20-30 mins video rather than going live. Fans like me would appreciate that. Live streaming doesn’t have that best quality and blurry at times. Hope you will listen to us and Thank you George for inspiring us.

    George has tones of knowledge but his scapes are not so great. They look way below average for someone who makes a career out of it.

    • @lifeisatrip8993
      @lifeisatrip8993 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He does easy to take care of setups. Contest tanks aren't really maintenance friendly.

    • @jalennewkirk8427
      @jalennewkirk8427 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Truth Betold One of his main goals as a career aquascaper is to make the hobby more accessible and relatable to the mass audience. This scape is beautiful and recreatable. Also, pretty much all of those plants except the hydrocotyle and maybe bolbitis can arguably be grown without CO2. I firmly believe if George dedicated 100% of his efforts in to 1 IAPLC competition scape it would easily be in the top 75 if not top 50.

    • @GeorgeFarmerStudios
      @GeorgeFarmerStudios  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’ll never be a great competition level Aquascaper. That’s not my motivation or goal. 😃

    • @ericplunder2744
      @ericplunder2744 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love George's scapes. If I'm honest I prefer his to a lot of the "competition" scapes. I can often find the competition scapes - especially diorama types and the ones with rocks and moss or carpet plants - just not as calming or natural, , which is what I like.
