Just to clarify:
If you want to be an idol you have to work harder than anybody, thats what Lisa is teaching. You have to know how to be powerful, energetic, know how to smile, and know how to look angry because they have so many concepts once you became an idol and you have to fit in them all (girl crush concept, cute concept, sexy concept, rocky concept, etc). You have to know how to adapt yourself for all genres and be confident about it. If you cant then being an idol is not for you.

No, because that's how trainees are trained. Lisa went through hell and back for being where she is.
She will compliment and help when it needs to be, and critisize trainees who had time to learn things and just do thinds casually, they are there to become idols. When did we see idols perfoming like some of those trainees were? Nowhere.
Not every person can be an idol, it's tough both physically and emotionally.

There are a lot of people who criticise Lisa for being harsh - but they have no idea WTF they're talking about, please don't be one of them.
This is like boot-camp for people wanting to join special forces - they have to want to be there, they have to work for it, if they aren't up to the task then the sooner they find out the better or work much harder to overcome their weaknesses.
Lisa knows she has to be firm, but she was also very encouraging when the trainees worked hard and succeeded - it's nothing she hadn't worked for herself, as she has an awesome work ethic.
Lisa was once a trainne before debuting too she trained for 5 years before being in Blackpink... She trained for 14 hours everyday... She was just 13-14 years old when she became a trainee and debuted when she was 19 years... The other mentors in other show does it harder lisa is one of the softest ones

Lisa & all the other KPOP idols trained way more harder stricter than them. I can't even imagine being able to train for YEARS not knowing if you're gonna debut or not. oh god
I mean that’s part of being in a team, even if your not the one that makes the points , you go celebrate right? , same thing for the punishment you’re all in together. Coaches do that for the other to help you and for you to make and effort. I was a cheerleader so that’s daily life

This is tame compared to high level dance/gymnastics/skating coaches lmao. Any coach for an elite performance sport (which tbh idol training basically is) will be this tough, if not more.

Must of them have being training for years, and this is for a idol group. Like she needs to be professional I get it
Lisa been trained 2 times or more more harder and strict than this, in YG they have really really strict dance mentor. So yeah, i think Lisa feels that kind of mentoring really helped her to grew back in the day and me also think the same, so maybe she also doing that to this trainees hoping thay they'll be more diciplines and good for themself. eventhough Lisa not as hard as blackpink's mentor when they was a trainee, she still did a really really good job while mentoring. I respect that

Many people here are trying to defend her. But like really, if you watch when she is the mentor for boy trainees, she is so much nicer… not like humiliating like with girl trainees
Because they sent hate for this so she was less strict with boys

That was on the 2nd season, she literally received a lot of hate. That's why she changed her way. Don't just make stupid scenarios from your mind
Don't get me wrong here, i dó get it that she has to b strict, cause harsh is not the right word, but to learn it thát quick! Like they had to b some kind of robots or something, again, i have nothing but respecting for Lisa & Blackpink, but i think if i hear it like that, she had more time than most trainees rookies have now, but that's my opinion.
Maybe u just don't know anything about the show.. it is actually a Chinese survival show to debut idols. It is called Youth with you, all the trainees are already a trainees for at least 3 years or some of them have been a few months, others even debuted already but disbanded.. and this video are just clips that supposed to be funny but if you watch the show. The trainees has nothing but gratitude towards Lisa to the point that some trainees dedicate their high ranking position every end of evaluation to Lisa for helping them become more confident and much better performer. Also the show just give at least 3 to 5 days preparation to the trainees before the actual performance that's why they need to learn very quick.
if I have to be honest when I watched this video for the first time ,my opinion of Lisa has changed , and not for the better😥And she was my favorite soo, now I still like her but not like use to.Just not my type of mentor I guess🙂
But she does have a point, she's a mentor, she's not there to make friends, how do u think it's gonna b for the guys when BTS is gonna train or mentor them, i think u'll see another side of them, i rather have a mentor or coach that brutal honest, then a mentor or coach that is softly lying to u, sorry, but with all respect, do u think then thát's gonna help, being an Idol is véry hard work, & i've seen people who were more mean than her, she wasn't cussing them out or something like others do. They knéw what they were getting into.🤷♀️

You can be honest and different in a much better way . Also, watch how Lisa is mentor with male groups and how it is with girls and then we can talk again. You can see the difference.
