On Produce 48 one of the first people we meet is Yena. I don't think that was a coincidence. I think during auditions the producers realized that Yena had a knack for being funny, especially after her soda pop skit, and they wanted her out there first for the introductions to get as much time on the mic as possible as they guessed she would say what pops into her head more readily than many trainees. It's hard to think how this group would be doing without Yena. Clearly she is a very good dancer, a very good singer, and the group's best rapper, but it is her personality that has the most impact. She's often comic relief for the group with her antics. While there are other funny members, Yena is kind of unique.
Honestly I might be biased but I already knew izone before watching, but it feels like she's the main character for the first ep. It looks like they're showing events from her perspective.
@@ankledrew8150 Yes, it does have that feel. I bet the producers sensed that Yena was going to be someone they could build around a lot even back in the initial auditions. Yujin was another that you could sense early was a "life of the party" personality type that if you had a camera on her as the series unfolded you were going to get a lot of funny footage. We saw so many times with IZ*One how the group would often gather around Yena or Yujin when they were telling a story because they have this kind of storyteller charisma to them where people listen and prepare to laugh.
Iz*one happy virus, cutie duck, and variety queen. Everything about her are the epitome of cute from her voice to her iconic duck lips and cream bread hand.

Yena acts so annoyed when members troll her, but especially when she is filming something, I think she loves it as she understands things like Nako saying Wonyoung and then Eunbi when Yena is clearly fishing for a compliment is so much funnier.
