@@fransvanmaanen52 It's crazy, he also sings Orpheus' parts and he's among the best Hades' playes on their team, according to some other devs. This man is insanely talented.
Same, it is beautifully tragic indeed. And the story of Orpheus and Eurydice itself. I can imagine a grief stuck musician making his way to hell and making every creature in his way cry and share his pain just by singing about his story.
I remember reaching Eurydice's room in the game for the first time and after talking to her i just stood there like an idiot for way longer than i probably should have listening to her version, now when i heard Orpheus's version and then the Duet... hoo boy
I finally started playing the game two days ago. I reached Eurydice's room for the first time yesterday and I didn't want to talk to her at first, in case she would stop singing if I did. I wanted to hear the song end. Then I realized it doesn't end in the game. Beautiful.
I still have moments like this, whenever I enter Eurydice's room and hear a duet. It feels especially good, knowing all the struggles that had to go into getting Eurydice and Orpheus back together. I just smile, knowing that they're happy.
Her tone reminds me the tone of Blackmore's Night group vocalist, you can listen some song of this group. *I still remember you* is one of their song, very similar vocal tone
This man is a true genius of music and Ashley has one of the most beautiful voices in the whole universe. Supergiant games thank you for bringing them together for us to listen!
These two always leave me in awe at the level of incredible skill they have. Ashley with her voice and acting skills, and Darren Korb for writing and producing some of the best music I've ever heard while also voice acting and singing. I wish the absolute best for everyone at Supergiant Games!
Hades was the first game since transistor where I just paused and listened. I think that is what is really the hallmark of SGG's games, actionpacked but still giving you moments where you totally forget that you just killed a huge monstrosity and fought for your dear life.
Just played through Hades and Im looking at some other supergiant games before Hades 2 gets released and I LOVE good Riddance and so many other songs by Ashley (Eurydice) and Darren (Orpheus). So beautifully melancholy
Darren sounds a lot like James Blake on Can't Believe the Way We Flow. This song is so beautiful. First time I heard Eurydice's I literally paused in the room for the entirety of the song.

Good riddance actually almost brought me to the edge of tears the first time I heard Orpheus' version. Even Eurydice's version had me feeling things.
What exactly were you feeling? 🤔
It was definitely a, "this sounds good, but I'm not sure if I dig it just yet.."
*enter Orpheus*
"Holy fuck"
Eurydice's version brought me to tears cause it reminded me of letting go of depression and suicidal thoughts and how far I've come recently.
and then the duet between the two came along :D
It was a really powerful moment for the character. That was the first song he sang in my original file.
Can't believe he also does Zagreus' and Skelly's voice
Wait, what? He does?!

Well said!

It was probably too hard to isolate his voice while he was playing simultaneously
