      @@livelovefarm9724 We are building the entire home using lime, sand and jaggery. Locally this is called Guch - lime surkhi. Will share the pictures soon.

      @@sharatkum1 no, i haven't seen any tool of that sort.
      But after applying plaster if u work on the plaster with thinner trowel for some time, you can reduce burnishing time.

    Hi, very informative video. Can you please share link to buy the portable grinder ( for grinding marble dust and lime) Is there a specific name for this kind of grinder

      You can purchase general food grinder available in the market... ntg specific for this purpose. You could also hand grind it if you can (use gloves). I happen to just borrow it from someone for couple of days.

      Yes, you can, just make sure you use a bonding adhesive and then a base coat before applying the plaster itself.

    Can we mix hydrated lime, natural line etc., With cement for consturction purpose...

      yes you can. cement will act as a hydraulic/setting compound and will add much more strength, but then you will lose the "natural" component if that matters to you.
      Here in the US stucco is made with cement, sand and hydrated lime.

      Lime itself is not waterproof but rather it absorbs the water unlike paint for instance. For waterproofing you can use sealer or wax.

      No, you need to first rectify water seepage issue. Later you could use this method to plaster.

My email is jezz@heritage-plasterworks.co.uk....the website is www.heritage-plasterworks.co.uk...will be happy to share some information on the technique for you if you send me an email..I was looking in to travelling India to teach the technique...i'm not too sure on its use or history in India.. it was born in Carpi in Italy in the mid 17th century but was also used around the same time in Germany (slightly different technique of scagliola)..from there its been used mainly throughout Europe and America

      Turmeric and lime gives u red shade. Also turmeric isn't light fast. If ur okay with it, u can use.

      Its nothing like polishing stone. U can use any smooth stone / polished marble / pebble.
