Sarah Hauser - raising money for "Women & Water"

With the support of Beyond the Surface Intl. and several other non-profits, our goal is to establish a sustainable pathway to provide the community with water filters, training on how these filters work and knowledge about the health benefits. By equipping a group of local young women from Lobitos with the resources and know-how to make their own video, they will be the facilitators of this step in community health. The video will be screened as part of a community cinema night.
The hope is to help solve a serious resource issue while also empowering the young women and next generation in Lobitos. We will train local school age girls on how filters work and then teach and assist them in creating an instructional video on how to use the water filters. Their work will be the first step in a clean water project and a catalyst for an innovative solution. Water filters can also cut down on single-use plastic in Lobitos.
All the money donated will go to Beyond the Surface International in order to support their efforts in empowering children in vulnerable coastal communities. Your money will help for so many things such as buying and bringing more water filters, or purchasing second-hand cameras for the girls to continue learning and making stop-motion animations, participate in photography workshops, or take surf classes.
