Sir Sam ManekShaw: Under his command, Indian forces conducted victorious campaigns against Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which led to the creation of Bangladesh in December 1971. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan, the second and third highest civilian awards of India, respectively. Jai Hind 🇮🇳

Watching from Bangladesh. I am a descendent of a 'Mukhtijodha' (Freedom Fighter). So, I was raised by hearing the courageous and visionary army person. Late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. There is three Indian person whom I respect a lot, Late Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Shahid Bhagat Singh & Late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. I am excited to see a biography movie on him.
But, never in my nightmares I had anticipated that he will be labeled as anti-nationlist. I hope after this movie, he will get the respect and honor which he deserved.

1) Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi
2) Late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw
3) Late R N Cawo (Chief and creator of R&AW)
The Indians don't know anything about Bangladesh. Same goes for West Bengalies. If they knew, they would give a title on our perspective.
The nation who never valued their one of great Soldier, how do you expect it will give you the proper respect. So, I do have little disappointment but not surprised because I don't have any expectation.
Many Indian soldier do claim and appreciate the bravery and courage of the Mukhtibahini soldiers. So, I commented to pay back the debt of the Indian soldiers.

Read books on Sam Manekshaw that movie was absolute trash and filled with propaganda that ignored the hardships faced by Sam after retirement he never got the salary after assuming the charge of Field Marshal even after retirement he never got pension until it came to the notice of Abdul Kalam (India's president at that time). That movie by Meghna Gulzar was solely focused on whitewashing the image of Congress where they showed that JNL gave the orders to Manekshaw to march into Kashmir. In contrast, Sardar Ballabhvai gave the orders by telling him "Don't look at his face it's my order" Because JNL was reluctant to send troops he was rather interested in taking up the matters to the UN which he later did.
He was real hero. Such Hero is expected to be Army Chief who understands his forces and have guts.

It is extremely paining that the character of such an incredible patriot was tarnished and tainted, by those in the power then. Sam sir was a great patriot.....all our indian army was controlled by him nicely n each n every soldier was respecting him when he was designated on the post of general...n when the topic of contravercy comes than its very common that sincere.. honest n loyal person has to face any type of contravercy when working on high post...but it's immaterial as his work towards nation is speachless... very much regards n respect towards our dear Sam sir for his contribution towards nation...may his soul rest in peace...

In the textbook of 8th Grade of Bangladesh,there is a mention of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. When I read that chapter, I became a fan of Sam Manekshaw as I also want to be an army general he has become my idol. This movie is literally the thing which I wanted.
