Throughout our travels at COPA90, he is a recurring myth, one who comes up everywhere we visit, and whose impact on the game continues to fascinate us.
Since Maradona’s passing last week, we decided to create this film looking back at some of our greatest past interviews about the great number 10.

Some really underwhelm the effect Maradona has on football, although Diego Maradona may not be as decorated like Messi,Ronaldo etc or he may not be as prolific in the number of goal contributions as other players but he changed the whole dynamics of Napoli and Argentina in the football world, he is a part of the both the team's history and respective places because El pibe de oro is a different breed altogether.
He played in an era when gifted players like him, were kicked and pushed and shoved. No protection from the referees. But he would always get back up on his feet. Today, overpaid primadonas , you touch them , and they roll on the ground like the were hit by lightning! I am glad we have these clips to watch him ,and appreciate him. I am 45 years old, and I am glad I was old enough to watch him play.
The game has changed. Messi and Ronaldo have been surrounded by other high-paid superstars throughout their careers. In some ways, they have it easy. Maradona went to Napoli when they were an average team and he helped turn them into Italian and European champions.
Can you Imagine Messi or Ronaldo being as outspoken as Maradona? Having the same dynamism and character? What if an in form in his prime Maradona had had twitter?

Maradona terrorised players like maldini, baresi, gentile, scirea, bergomi, tardelli etc. Players who aren't easily terrorised. And he did it while overweight and hooked on cocaine, which in a perverse way makes his achievements all the more impressive. Imagine ronaldo or messi living that sort of lifestyle. They would die on the pitch.

He was such a Unique & Unbeliavable player. We used to get breathless feeling that we would have a heart attack everytime he got the ball in a game. No other player in the history of soccer had the same impact on people. There have been many star players, but he was the Super Star. I don't know how else I can explain it. Can anybody imagine what type of player he could be, if he played nowadays with the latest rules of the game, being protected against those killer fauls by the referees and with the new training and nutrition technics and living as a professional athlete ? I havent seen maradona live personally myself. But i have seen messi live and for me, watching messi was like watching maradona play infront of me. It's amazing how similiar both maradona and messi are. Anyways , my condolonces to maradona' s family.
Diego was too much better than Messi. If messi is an effective player, Diego was magical, in a time when the game was too much agresive, and all the pitch were horrible. Not to mention the character. Diego was a leader. a true captian.

If Messi or Ronaldo had played in Italy in the 80's, they would not have been so dominant. Maradona played in the toughest and most defensive league in the world. He even thought of leaving Italy because it was so tough. But he made it.
