Quick tip if you are playing a class with no jump/leap and you dont want to spend an additional key, use a glider kit twice, it has a three minute cooldown but you can do it on every class with a bit of waiting
One use for the ring I haven't seen anyone mention is the potential to add to a speed running setup. Harmonic and Wind Sculpted will add some serious speed.
They need to allow us to stick main stats on it really....... as people have already mentioned those with 418 or above probably wont gain much if anything this ring But it will be nice to muck around with different combination of gems though

No, you cannot stack gems of the same effect. They are unique-equip meaning only 1 can be used. Since the new ring has 3 sockets, 3 different gems will be used. The gems can be upgraded to make the effects stronger though.
Unless the sims are way off, no. The stone effects are garbage and not worth giving up all those stats for. I don't understand why he's telling everyone it's an upgrade for everyone. It's barely an upgrade for people that do LFR unless they buff them all.

If you run it in raid, just about any combination of Primordial Stones will work as long as you're using Echoing Thunder Stone as one of them. I think for pvp depending on class it has more use. The absorbs or healing could be good defensively or for healers at least. It also has the right amount of stamina that a ring for its level has

Right. A lot of people aren't going to bother farming out that quest item when they can just sit there and wait for someone else to do the work and bring it to them...
"Free" ring. You realize that you have to upgrade each stone twice with a jc work order that will cost comission fee, some are charging 10k each upgrade. Now do the maths, 3x2 = 60k gold.
10.1 it will drop off being * BIS * when you get rid of socketed items for un-socketed due to the way they are changing how the proc works. For each socketed gem you have, you get an extra 1 second to the buff duration which has been lowered to 6 seconds base i believe
Handy tip for all who read this, don't do what I did, charge straight into the vault, slaughter the spiders, get the ring and then open all 30 doors and leave again...I've now got to wait until reset day, and farm another 30 keys before I can upgrade my ring..
As someone who only does keys, until they actually do something meaningful with them im out. I don't want to have to grind out the same trinket/weapon multiple times, and I dont want every week to be poop for melee and/or healers (I play a melee healer). I'm hoping they do SOMETHING with the horrible state of keys.
idk this seems like its going to be annoying for players who are min maxing 2 or more characters for mythic raiding and 20+ keys. maybe im wrong but i really hope its not gonna be a chore because i thought we were done with that crap
Either nothing is worth the effort because it gets replaced in the next content patch or everything is worth the effort for the temporary gains, bragging rights and feeling of accomplishment. I'm with the latter, I'm looking forward to these Vaults and hope they are fun and challenging.
Honestly looks like the ring will be pretty useless to start and not worth replacing rings with primary stats but over time may build in power and slowly become more powerful and useful and eventually overtake the primary stat rings in effectiveness.. time will tell...
@@Vittrich Simmed on my warlock and the AOE was seriously behind while the single target was barely 100-200 more at 424, that's a HUGE loss in secondary stats for that. I'm holding off till it gets better

This is where blizz screwed up. The ring clearly isn't powerful enough and there is too much effort into getting it for the short time you can use it so it's a double negative. Blizz should have added stats to ring and also made it faster to upgrade considering the short lifespan it will have. Blizz back to dangling a preverbal carrot in front of it's customer base only to frustrate and piss them off leading to desubbing. We don't play games to upset us, we play games to relax, be challenged and enjoy. You have no excuses here blizz, you have had a lifetime sentence (prison term) to get this right but consistently fall short. Stop using us as beta testers for a game we pay monthly to play.
For 99% of all classes any combination of stones at 424 is worse than any other ring available with a secondary stat budget. So unless blizz buffs these by considerable amounts, they’re not worth the hassle *****EDIT since ppl seem to lack basic understanding of timeframes - This comment and replies before SmokingCactus were placed BEFORE the 2 back to back buffs the stones got

For havoc DH the annulet is worse than 398 rings🤣🤣 at least go and read class guides and check sim data - also you can lit craft 418 rings with bis stats for your class so what excuse do you have? **blizz needs to buff these by a decent amount if they want to see em used, they’re atm only strong for alts who have 0 gear.
@@mura-moto uh maybe you need to read guides yourself lol for Havoc this ring is better than 431 rings.... from wowhead and iceyveins For Havoc Demon Hunters, the best Primordial Stones are stronger in power to a 431 item level ring on a single target and should be run. On AoE the value is lower, closer to that of a 431 item level ring, reducing as target count increases. Also stop looking at sims look at logs you can see this ring is amazing for havoc.

@@donreid371 sims cant possibly count for the gem powers, but yeah 350 is pretty weak, so i can see them getting stronger than that.
The problem is for classes that are secondary stat dependent like Shadow Priest.its gonna hurt quite a bit to n equip it.

the ring with the right socket combo sims 17,2% dmg increase on 424 on my 417.xx DH.

ok just checked again in an 21 azure vault. the ring was 23,7% of my overall dmg. wtf blizz

Flying around like ZM to hope to tag a rare for a possible key is boring! The Onyx Annulat is also minor for all the effort.
The ring is about a 7% dps loss compared to my 411 ring.

No, just using sims. I'm not the only person saying this though. It's pretty unanimous among high end players, the ring is pretty bad.
No matter what lvl of this annulet ring 418 424 442 the problem is it only gives you +stamina and the power of the 3 stone thats it…. Its useless

You're assuming you got lucky with rings. Heck my main never even got a banquet recipe so a lot of us will benefit
@@daisakarka mate ANY ring with stats above 405 ilvl for 99% of classes is better that this annulet. For havoc DH the annulet is worse than 398 rings🤣🤣 at least go and read class guides and check sim data - also you can lit craft 418 rings with bis stats for your class so what excuse do you have? **blizz needs to buff these by a decent amount if they want to see em used, they’re atm only strong for alts who have 0 gear.
@@mura-moto uh maybe you need to read guides yourself lol for Havoc this ring is better than 431 rings.... from wowhead and iceyveins For Havoc Demon Hunters, the best Primordial Stones are stronger in power to a 431 item level ring on a single target and should be run. On AoE the value is lower, closer to that of a 431 item level ring, reducing as target count increases. Also stop looking at sims look at logs you can see this ring is amazing for havoc.
