Hi Maaike showing them in colour families was very helpful for me. It lets me see the mauve and pink options against each other (those being mostly what I wear). I’m not a red or bright lip person and I prefer a bullet lipstick over a gloss or liquid lip. I’m enjoying wearing lipstick again after the masks, but I also had to throw out expired favourites when I went back to wearing it. I’ve bought a few over the last eighteen months to replace those that had to be thrown away (recycled), but I don’t need a ton of them. Best wishes x
I enjoy this video. I love lipstick and I have a lot and all are luxury (plus hundreds of bottles of perfume), like almost equivalent to a amount of capital in building a business. I know it is excessive but my collection makes me happy though I cannot use them all. Hahaha. Good luck to your channel.

Lol Verve is literally my favourite lipstick ever (that isn't Lady Danger 💋). You might like Nars Deborah (another fave of mine) for a brown for you, although it may be darker on you than on me. It's quite warm toned but in a kinda... grungy way, I feel like you might like it.
I am also not a lipgloss person, i wear bullet lipsticks all the time and i like to reapply them throughout the day, i don't wear long lasting, transfer proof. 4-5 years ago i would wear mascara, blush and lipstick , no foundations, concealers or eyeshadows! Now i'm 33 almost 34 and my fine lines started to appear, i have dark under eye circles and uneven skin tone and i had to start wearing more coverage!
Okay I may be in the minority here, but I rarely wear lip stick. It dries my lips out and has no staying power on me. I live for glosses. How are you lipstick lovers keeping your lips hydrated and transfer proof?
My trick: apply lip balm at the start of your makeup routine. Let it sit until the last minute. Wipe off the excess, apply matte lipstick. Done. Wears all day, 0 dryness if you have a good formula. High end trumps most drugstore brands by a mile for comfort and longevity. Additionally I scrub my lips a few times a week in the shower and use a more intense lip treatment at night. My fave is the NUXE reve de miel in the pot. For added longevity there are loads of tricks from applying lip liner first to blotting and powdering your lips. But I find all of those techniques too drying. So I just apply lipstick as is straight from the bullet. It usually wears a full workday without touch ups.

Orange can look nice but it has to be just right for me. Prefer a red over an orange any time of day. That's for sure.

People keep recommending NARS to me. I hace tried some of their products over the years but they're just not my favorite.
Sexy Sienna was also my first CT lipstick, now i am hooked > now i own 7 and i dont like buying high end lipsticks 😅

I teach and often don't have time to reapply lipstick. I need something that ia bulletproof.
